panda021 Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Please, I am sick of it. How do I make it stop disappearing? Bonus question: Is Ostim better now? Last time I used it everything was manual and confusing. I prefer things to be automated. All your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Ashal Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Change your fNearDistance setting in Skyrim.ini, and if you have any camera mods installed, check if they have a similar setting that also needs to be tweaked. It can also be called "near clipping distance" or something similar in other mod settings. Can't remember the exact values to use, but I'm sure you can google it based on that. 2
Kastagir Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 I use fNearDistance=15 and don't have this issue, but I also don't use a high FOV while taking screenshots of characters. An excessively high Field of View setting can cause this or make it worse if your fNearDistance is default. The default FOV is 65. Anything over 75 will cause a noticeable fish-eye distortion effect. Lowering it to 30-35 is good for screenshots where you want to focus on a character. 1
