Crashing Like No Tomorrow

Okay, this makes no sense at all.

 

I just loaded up my game a few minutes ago, and it crashed in 30 seconds. I thought it was just one save. I was wrong. I loaded another save, it crashed in 5 seconds. All of my saves are doing this. I have no clue what the hell happened to make my game like this, but I need help fixing it.

 

After the last time I played (and it worked), I used GlossMax on a number of meshes. The game only started acting up after that.

Loversdocter and Tamago are not compatible and neither are lovers and cursed armor.

 

I don't know that this is the culprit but I do know you can't run them together without running into problems.

 

Did you keep copies of the nif files you glossed so you could roll back and check if that is it?

I can definitely tell you that this isn't the problem, as I've been running Lovers with Cursed Armor for a while, and Tamago with Doctor for the last three days.

 

I've actually not yet run into any notable problems with either conflictions. But at least now I know what the source of the problems I may run into would be.

You're not going to tell me I have to reinstall Oblivion again to restore those meshes, are you? I have this terrible feeling that that's exactly what I have to do.

No, reinstalling oblivion itself won't gain you anything. You may have to unzip clothing/armor mods that you have glossed and pull the effected nifs out and replace them.

 

However I can't see glossed nifs being a game crashing problem. I am wondering if your save games have been impacted by the mods you are running instead. Try disabling the known conflicts and starting a new game to see if things work properly and then loading those saves back up and testing again.

 

Worst case I would look at the glossed stuff but I just find it hard to believe they are the source of the problem. Your sure you haven't installed anything new lately maybe just prior to the glossing?

From your loadorder alone, i think there is no need for reinstlling. Sounds more like load order problem.

 

Lovers bitch alone would be difficult since you loaded Xeo after it. Recommend load order was lovers bitch after xeo not xeo after lovers bitch.

What tool did you use to sort out your loadorder ??

Then make a comparisome with the last loadorder list i updated here:

 

 

Since your using bash patch, what you can do once you use the boss tool and readjust your loadorder delete bashpatch.esp and copy a clean bashpatch.esp back and readjust the bashpatch.esp and see if that solves.

 

Everytime you install a new mod or adjust your load order you need to rebash everything again. Or errors from previous will show up again.

1. It says Beautiful People and x117 Race are supposed to load before Lovers with PK, but Lovers Crowning Isle and Lovers Prostitute require them to be the other way around. Will those mods still work if my load order is like this?

Where should I put them?

Currently I have the three Tamago esps listed there before Lovers Tamago Club, and the other Lovers mods are at the end of my Lovers mods area on my load order.

 

3. I've noticed that, in addition to LoversClubCats, the list shows a mod called LoversClubCatsSx. I had LoversClubCats, but never the other one, and it seemed there wasn't anything to do with Lovers in the mod. Is the other one supposed to incorporate sex into the mod?

 

4. I've heard that CM Partners doesn't work with Tamago. Is there a way to work around this? I have a few mods that add CM partners that I like to use.

 

5. Are Claudia's Little Secret and Sexy Maid of Chorrol compatible with Xeosp++? I'm asking this because I noticed that, while scrolling through the races while making my new character, the races associated with those mods had googly-eyes. If they aren't compatible, then is there any way to work around it? I have a character that uses Xeosp++, so I can't just get rid of it.

Now, when I used GlossMax, I dragged all the meshes in the _male folder (but not any of the meshes of other folders within it) and had them glossed. Some of these were apparently for animations.

Well shit. I think I figured out the problem.

I remember now that installed an animation package for hand-to-hand combat as well before the game started going to crash hell. Now, I uninstalled it, but it turns out that the uninstallation guide in the readme for the mod was not quite thorough. Apparently, there was still the idle animation to delete. I didn't figure that out until loading up my hand-to-hand character and opening the inventory. So I just deleted it, and the game seems to be working fine now.

 

However, being the skeptic that I am, I'm not entirely certain this fixed it, even though the test results support the idea that it has.

 

Well, if I have any more problems, I'll be back.

 

In the meantime, anyone able to answer any of those questions?

1. It says Beautiful People and x117 Race are supposed to load before Lovers with PK, but Lovers Crowning Isle and Lovers Prostitute require them to be the other way around. Will those mods still work if my load order is like this? They will work with lovers below them - they need the esm not the esp.

Where should I put them?

Currently I have the three Tamago esps listed there before Lovers Tamago Club, and the other Lovers mods are at the end of my Lovers mods area on my load order.

 

3. I've noticed that, in addition to LoversClubCats, the list shows a mod called LoversClubCatsSx. I had LoversClubCats, but never the other one, and it seemed there wasn't anything to do with Lovers in the mod. Is the other one supposed to incorporate sex into the mod? the sx mod makes the dancers preform a strip tease (you can change the clothes too I think) you can get it from the lpk asian site - I don't think it needs any translation

 

4. I've heard that CM Partners doesn't work with Tamago. Is there a way to work around this? I have a few mods that add CM partners that I like to use. It works ok. The real weakness is just the cm partners mod with the double face bug and its normal armor\clothes quirks

 

5. Are Claudia's Little Secret and Sexy Maid of Chorrol compatible with Xeosp++? I'm asking this because I noticed that, while scrolling through the races while making my new character, the races associated with those mods had googly-eyes. If they aren't compatible, then is there any way to work around it? I have a character that uses Xeosp++, so I can't just get rid of it.

Yea, they were compatible for me anyway. If you have googly eyes you can always just use the CS to change the eyes of the characters that are off.

Regarding the googly eyes, all of the races associated with CLS and Sexy Maid of Chorrol have googly eyes. So does that mean I have to fix all of them individually by changing the eyes?

Why not just drop both to the bottom of your load order (just below xeo) until you finish playing CLS through - once you complete it you really should disable it - per the authors notes.

 

The other option that would be much faster than the CS is to use TES4Edit to fix the eyes in CLS and SMC (you can fix all characters in both esp's in one shot).

 

As to clubcats - they will have sex randomly with just the base plugin (mine do ).

Now, are there any settings to change how often they have sex in the club? The only setting I could understand was the one as to whether male or female fighters are in the ring or something like that. The rest of the English is too broken.

Been a while since I set the settings so I don't remember. I do remember the male or female fighters choice and I remember choosing men to fight women but that is all I remember.

 

Some fights ended with no sex and in one fight a boss orc bandit spent the whole time raping some poor low level vampire chick. It was really funny.

If you changed the load order of your esm's while you had any Tamago kids running around in your game, bad stuff is likely to have happened. I have my own Hiyokogenerator, and when I made it I included the new races I used for it straight into the Hiyokogenerator esp. Now I can't make any changes to my load order above this plugin, or any kids it spawned lose their race. They will turn into headless armors walking around, and will cause random crashing at all times (even when they are nowhere near the player). Just the other night I noticed I forgot to reorder the plugin after making changes to it, and ended up crashing like crazy (within 10 minutes of playing) for half a day. When I figured it out the next day I had to roll back to a save before I altered it because there was no way to get the race back onto the kid (there was only one so far from that generator). So if you have any kids, make sure not to change the mod number of the x117 master, or use the cleanup option to delete all the kids.

the fix for googly eyes is to untick the races option in the bashed patch (and yes i know that bites but it's the only way of not popping in to the construction set and fix all the broken mess that's in there)
