Literally stumped

I would really like some help here on something.  I've now been modding for *Looks at watch*  about 3 days.  This is all pretty new to me and I have to admit I am stumped.  I have Nexus Mod Manager and have started to add Mods to my game... however, as I got further into them... I am getting more and more CTD's.  I have managed to get the game running, but, when it does run some mods work... some dont.  Plus,  when I use a addon like matchmaker... it becomes the CTD of death and instantly see myself looking at the Desktop.  Not quite sure what I have done that is actually wrong in that almost all of my mods were downloaded in the Mod manager.  I have checked my plugins.txt and fixed it numerous times... I have run TES5 to insure that Mods were in correct order... and yet, I'm still getting shut down.  The biggest issues are with my NEW ANIMATION PACK... my toon used to do it... but since adding addons... its as if the addon is being overridden by something else.  Plus, Matchmaker has periodically CTD me.

 

Here is a listing of my MODS in their order... hopefully someone could PLEASE give me some advice on where and how I messed this up so that I can make the appropriate corrections.  Thanks.

Get rid of PCEA, as it does not play well with SexLab and it's mods.
Did you use BOSS, to get a working load order, because it doesn't look like it.
Did you (re-)run the FNiS Generator for Users after installing animation mods?

Thanks for the answer back.  I have been using Generate_FNISFor Users so that much I know I have been doing on a regular basis.  BOSS... admittedly, I dont actually know what that is.  I have TES5EDIT that I heard about to use for my order, but, if there is a better program I would SOOO much appreciate knowing about it.  Not trying to sound like an ass... you just have to understand that I am borderline MODDing retarded right now... so I really dont know a lot of the acronyms yet.  I just got rid of the PCEA's (Which I just now figured out what they were) and the walking animations are now operational.  However, just testing my system... as soon as I try using Matchmaker to test out the system, as soon as I cast it on someone and it should being the system CTD's.  So, while I figured out one thing... I still have another issue to deal with.  Again, thanks so much for the feedback I really appreciate it.

Oh and thank you to the posting on my Skyrim.ini file   I just changed it and hopefully it will help out.  The issue isnt CTD on startup... its more of once I try to do something involving an addon is when it crashes.

Deffinitely use Boss, and get the unofficial Skyrim patche(and dlc ones) they fix like 10k stuff,scripts etc. TReally a must, if you want to play Skyrim, such a bad coded and dirty game, seriously they should be paid for their work.

 

If crashes continue a lot after this, i'd do a fresh install (Full uninstall mods then full uninstall Skyrim, then install again, just the SKSE etc + Unofficial patches, play a bit then add 1 mod at a time, test again if okey, 1 more mod ,repeat)

 

Are you using TEs5edit. If not, get it and clean the dlcs. Very easy, install it, start it, untick all except the mod/dlc you wanna clean, wait, then right klik on the esp you want to clean, apply filter for cleaning, wait,then remove identical to master,yes,wait,then undelete and close program (all these commands exist on right clicking on the esp and picking them commands). Boss will tell you wat needs cleaning or not. DO NOT clean any sex mods.

 

Install shlongs last, heard it has some problems sometimes. If you still have problem, read the readmess of the mods, maybe you do something wrong. 

 

NMM is very buggy unstable but does work for a light mod list. be carefull with him, if you install a mod that replaces something from an other mod, he won't replace the old mod if you uninstall the new one.

 

Fnis said some people have a few problems with Fnis. In general install the animation mods/Fnis last, after you test the rest mods(after schlongs)

 

You probably know this but, scripts from old mods stay in the saves and can corrupt/kill them saves. So, if you have uninstalled many mod, try these suggestions,the testing ones,  mine and from other fellows here on a new game/clean save.

 

Many Loverslab mods are in their Alpha/teting period, so it's best to NOT save your games with those mods active, till you're sure they work well, without many bugs.

Adding: Just saw you have Tesedit,ignore if you know it. just download Boss and install it, you'll know what he does when you start it, easiest program ever and VERy nice. Don't trust it completely for Loverslab mods, better to read the suggestions here for what order to put them.

 

Modding is fantastic but a little weird when you start. After a bit, it'slike second nature.

Thanks... gonna look for BOSS and install it to clean the system up.  I had been thinking that it coulda been all the body models that I put in and that they might have been conflicting with each other, but then again, I note I practically know nothing... was just a guess.  I actually think Scholongs was one of the first ones that I put in... so that might actually be some of the problem there as well.  I could try to uninstall it and reinstall it now that most of the mods are in there now once I get them cleaned up with BOSS.  Will try these and will report back once I have some evidence showing that these changes worked out for me.  Thank ya.

Try the Archive Invalidation option in Nexus Mod Manager ( the little hammer icon at the top ).

Hmm... Well I have good news and not s great news.  Since the 1st I finally managed to get it up and operational with all active mods running... that's good news.  Then, it seemed to be holding steady and the unofficial patches were working great... better news.  Now, today I tried to log on and suddnely I am getting plagued by sudden CTD's... that's bad news.  I am not actually sure what may be causing this in that I literally have changed nothing since I got it up and running two days ago.  Nothing has been put in, taken out, etc.  so... not entirely sure as to why now I am having an issue to logging in.  I even tried to start new game just to see if it would boot up correctly and even that is CTDing me.  The only thing I can possibly think of is that NMM is currently down with an issue and will only let me run it in offline mode.  I am not entirely sure what kind of a difference that would make, but, its the only variable that I see that is different thus far.

ISSUES AND BUG FIXES

0) First of all, almost all problems happen because of things you did to your game

or OS, various fake memory tweakers, boosters are at first place. Antiviruses, bad drivers,

overlay monitoring, capturing, overclocking, etc etc etc prevent normal functionality.

Also if you configured game incorrectly by modifying skyrimprefs.ini, it's also lead you to

nowhere. This prooved many times, not just by one user, you all do the same mistakes.

1) If you have crashes at startup, run as admin and make sure no other

software hooking in to game process, for example some antiviruses, screen capturing tools, videocard monitoring or overclocking. Afterburner, D3D Overrider, EVGA, ATI Tray Tools,

DXTory, Fraps, XFire - some versions of these software incompatible with

wrapper version of ENBSeries, so use injector version or disable those utils.

Also Skyrim Performance Monitor may produce this behavior, try without it or

set in it's options D3D9 mods compatibility.

2) Lower performance when borderless window mode turned on together with vsync,

to fix disable any of them.

3) If stuttering bother too much, edit enblocal.ini file vriables ExpandSystemMemoryX64, ReduceSystemMemoryUsage(especially this one), DisableDriverMemoryManager.

4) ALT-TAB not work in fullscreen mode when EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=true

5) Game by default forcing vsync to be on, in enblocal.ini parameter exist which

toggle it, so modify if you have issues with screen tearing.

6) Infinite loading happen when frame rate is too high, use fps limiter or vsync

vua EnableFPSLimiter=true or EnableVSync=true in enblocal.ini.

7) (obsolette issue for latest version) Creation Kit (CK) is not work properly, delete d3d9.dll (or don't run injector

version if it used instead of wrapper) or use another enblocal.ini which don't have

memory fixes enabled. Future versions may work, not sure yet.

8) Pixelated screen means that you have borderless window enabled in enblocal.ini. This is good feature for those users who know what to do with it.

9) Strange behavior of game physics, flying objects - you have too much high fps, turn on VSync or FPSLimiter in enblocal.ini, this is game bug.

10) ALT-TAB not work, amount crashes not reduced, stuttering and textures are

missing. This probably because enbhost.exe process not started by the mod because of

admin rights issues. This problem not occur when ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=false set.

11) Red text message appear in the left top corner. So, why the hell everybody say

it's error message? If you don't see "error" word in it, then it's not an error, but important

notice or warning.

12) Graphic effects do not work after installing this. To turn on ENBSeries as graphic

mod (ENBoost use only patch of it), set parameter UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=false

in enblocal.ini.

13) Stuttering with newest versions or low performance at some locations means

that your VRAM is full, press F4 key to free it (can be assigned to another key via KeyFreeVRAM

in enblocal.ini file). Also you may change ReservedMemorySizeMb to fix stuttering. Later i'll

do tweaks against this issue.

14) Process enbhost.exe not working, so memory reduction is not effective as with it, if hdtPhysicsExtensions mod installed.

Now that you mention it... I did run an antivirus scan very recently since I got it working.  I never even considered that an antivirus program would cause the system to malfunction.  Anyway, I will attempt a couple of simple fixes and hope that it will get things going again and if it doesn't then its probably back to the drawing board.  However, just one last question... I noticed once when I deleted and reinstalled Skyrim a lot of my old save games were still available (Probably saved through steam I am guessing), would you suggest that I start all over fresh with a new toon or should I attmept to nurse the old save games back to health once it is reinstalled.  I think I probably know the answer to this... just getting a confirmation.
