Reverse engineer sliders from bodyslide preset?

Recommended Posts

Long story short, in a sudden outburts of rage I managed to delete my bodyslide presets folder with my custom made body thai I like very much. However, the body itself is still present in-game as I had already built it with bodyslide. Now I'm wondering is there anyway to get sliders from the nif file or do I have to start creating the body from scratch for new outfits?

I think what I'd attempt is to open the base body in Outfit Studio, then load the already morphed body as an outfit on top of that. Set the "outfit" body to render as wireframe only then trial-n-error my way through the sliders trying to get the polygons to overlap. Toggling between textured and untextured rendering should help as well.

Edit: Actually you may have to do this in reverse. Create a new project in Outfit Studio, load the current morphed body as an outfit. Remove all sliders, then load the unmorphed base body. After that only the base body should morph, allowing you to retrace the contoures as it were.

Afaik, no, mesh to Bodyslide is not a thing at present. At least not that I'm aware of.

What I've done in the past is to create a series of snapshots of the existing nude body (in game) from various angles, then painstakingly re-created it in Bodyslide using the snapshots as references, making damn sure to save the preset *this time*

My reason was that I failed to bother saving a slide tweaked preset following body build then came back later to discover my mistake. same result form different origins. You deleted yours in an apparent rage fit, and I didn't even bother to create one in the first place (leading to my own rage fit when I discovered my stupidity at not saving my customized Bodyslide preset ;)
