Dark World Reborn - PoD

This is a version of Dark World Reborn, that is meant to be used with the VtM Overhaul Princes of Darkness.
Changes:
- removed some events, desicions and the vampire trait wich where incompatible or redundant with PoD
- added vampire traits to the special npcs
- added new special vampire npcs - Castlevania/Vampires Dawn/Hellsing/VtM Bloodlines/some oc characters(currently 6 of them)

- events for new special vampire npcs

- stone table quest for characters that learned everything in the wizard tower(triggered by special vampire events)

- alternative cycalable portraits for several characters
- cinderellas sisters have gotten special portraits
- hunter events - requirements:

Hunter recruiting events are triggered with the special vampire events if specific special vampires are in your court, if you decide to let the hunters stay and not imprison, enslave, embrace or ghoul them the special hunter events will trigger:

Hunter Recruiting event 1 - requires Hellsing Alucard
Hunter Recruiting event 2 - requires Jayna from Vampires Dawn
Hunter Recruiting event 3 - Alucard or Dracual from Castlevania(of course you can also have both)


- removed building requirements so they can be build with only the pod mod

- healing removes illness and incapable

- slaves will always drink potions you give them
- reworked virignity for spouses and concubines

- Slight modifications to Hero/Villain Events:

Joker will learn Thaumaturgy instead of becoming a mage
Batgirl will not Attack you anymore if she is enslaved

Compatibility
This Version of DWR can not be run with the original Dark World Reborn mod at the same time and is not savegame compatible.
The Recomended Versions of PoD are either the Version availible on git(https://github.com/PrincesOfDarknessMod/POD-for-CK2/tree/master)  or the independent Kaltenstein Version:

Changes in the Kaltenstein Version:
- make caitiffs hated by everyone
-allow caitiffs to learn all disciplines by themselfes
-changed overall balance of traits to be much more powerfull (so mods like orders of chivalary, additional traits etc. don' t outshine them)
-allowed new wonders to be build and used everywhere by erveryone
-allowed standard wonders to be build and used everywhere by erveryone again
-added discplinces for vampires from level 6 to level 10
-added new high power disciplines to methusalehs, antideluvians and caine
-made it possible to build increased city sizes (takes a lot of time and money)
-added new Buildings
-added new vampire retunite stacks
-higher retunite cap with technology
-no downtime for learning new discipline

-slightly rebalanced castles and towns, so that castles give the supperior troops
-hospitals, forts and tradeposts can be build
-game rules to prevent wraiths, changelings, mages and werewolfes from spwaning - canon mages and werewolfes do still spawn

-mages, werewolfes, revenants, changelings and wraiths(necromancy power required) can be hunted by vampires
-start as a mortal(select "mortal" trait in ruler designer) and become a vampire via lover, favor, enslavement of a vampire or the elder blood potion you can buy at the wizard tower(DWR PoD), get embraced by random vampire or keep playing as a mortal if you so desire(vampires will maybe ghoul you)
-game rules so you can be embraced by any vampire without special requirements
-become a hunter if you play as a mortal
-make npcs embrace mortals via favor

-koldunic sorcery discipline can be learned as alternative to thaumaturgy by every clan except Tremere and Nagaraja

-tribal vampire government herders

-consentual blood bond between vampire lovers

-supernatural government icons

-off map interactions with china

-reworked diablerie
-equal opportunity consorts(females, hunters and innocents now can take them too)

-permanent wound system

-Influence based building decay - can be disabled via game rule

-usable and extractable blood artifacts

-rebalanced hunting
-new events
-vampire government specific laws

- equal opportunity consorts(females, hunters and innocents now can take them too)
- at the start of a new game you can descide via game rule what level of influence and buildings rulers should have(unchanged(standard), low, mid, max)
- new haven system with new modules for havens which get destroyed when a holding changes owner, is looted or successfully sieged - game rule which descides if modules are off(standard), only modules get destroyed or whole haven gets destroyed
- refined ghouling for vampires, ghouls now get a discipline depending on the clan of the ghouling vampire
- players that play/start as mortals now have a targeted desicion to get ghouled by a vampire in diplomatic distance

-new preadator types
- temporis fleshed out rebalanced and available for brujah players(requires exactly celerity_5)
- roads now have disciplines that can be learned by players and npc - can be disabled via gamerule
- new thin blood system start as a thin blood vampire or get embraced into one if you start as a mortal(sire must be gen11 or higher then there is about a 20% chance for thin blood embrace) thin bloods cant embrace, ghoul, go into torpor or learn a discipline above the first level. If a thin blood diablerizes another non thin blood vampire they will become a vampire of said clan

-aztec invasion - new game rule for different kind of invasions - normal/hunters/kuei-jin(events/texts stay the same)
-jade dragon kuei-jin

-antedeluvian questline
-antedeluvians can awaken and start conquering(modivaible via gamerule)

- changed some religion victory event conditions(some dont require leading a specific realm anmore, others can only be activated after a certain date(no more salubri defeating the tremere at 800 a d. anymore))
-new bookmarks at 700 and 1000

-new high level discipline decisions

-Vigor 8 or higher: activatable mode total destruction destroy single buildings after conquest or the entire holding(vigor 9 or 10) after conquest or plundering
-Serpentis 8 or higher: Corruption add moral flaw to a character in your realm
-Obfuscate 8 or higher: Change identity remove exposed masquerade trait and percentages
-Obeah 8 or higher: Exorsize demon remove possessed trait from realm character or player
-Nightmare 7 or higher: Scare away remove smuggler ring, thieves guild and highway robbers from province
-Auspex 8 or higher: Read thoughts set influnce in province to good if it is below

-daimonion 6 or higher: baali corruption transforms non baali into one


-clan extermination quest

Start quest via intrigue desicion

If all non torpored members from the significant dynasties are eliminated all torpored members of said clan including the antedeluvian will awaken the antedeluvian will be transported to a court in diplomatic range of the player

Win Condition - All vampires from significant dynasties of a clan must be eliminated + any third gen vampire of said clan(player and close relatives excluded if they are part of said clan)

Effects - No new members of said clan will spawn in the game anymore
           - optional(game rule): All remaining members of the clan will be eliminated excluding root and his close relatives if they are part of said clan



- new randomly created characters for different selectable starting points at the time(mostly intended for custom characters)
- usable random character generator for users that want to change the random characters available in their game.(readme included)
- for users that dont want random characters or want to create their own use the princesofdarkness kaltenstein_no_characters_created.zip which includes the non randomized titles and file just overwrite the princesofdarkness kaltenstein folder

-recomended to run with "less random deadly duels" mod(to make duels less random)

I have a question, it is me or this version of the dark word mod has the breeding collar and the normal dark world does not have it, it is normal?

Some suggestions.

 

1. The fae characters should probably be kitted out with the PoD fae traits

 

2. The demon characters should probably have the PoD demon traits.

 

3. Some of the mages might benefit from having the mage traits.

 

Just for variety.

I have no idea what you talking about i have never modified or seen anything about this artifact.

3. Some of the mages might benefit from having the mage traits. -> Mages are getting the PoD Traits after a while. PoD mages can learn the DWR Traits if they have a wizard Tower

This version does not include POD units, if you want to use that you have to download it seperatly
