Man, It's nice that this mod has been partially salvaged for 1.5 (Thanks for the update). I do really miss the full features. I am in the same boat with not being able to trigger the Nephila Transformation. I'm sure there are people experiencing issues due to dependencies on other mods, but just to summarize all the info in one post, the recurring issues seem to be:

 

1. Infected Pawns don't transform when sick.

2. Nephilia matron / Queen guards look smaller than they should

3. Nephilia Seraphims don't spawn. Both matron's eggs and "spawn pawn" command instead spawns baseline nephilia.

4. (This might just be me) The Nephilia race is having some issue where I constantly get the '(Pawn Name) is fully healed' notification over and over again. I think this might be an interaction with the alien races mod though.

OK, I'm attempting something possibly quite stupid, and attempting to fix the mod for 1.5. Unfortunately, I've never messed with .dll mods before, and am stuck at an error : The type or namespace name 'RoomGroup' could not be found. Help? I might be in over my head?

Edit the source code and recompile the dll with all the needed dependecies, best to use visual studio

Alright, after figuring out that I'm a dumbass who was using the wrong source code, and successfully getting the mod to compile, I have determined - I have no clue why the initial transformation isn't working. The upgrade transformations - Maiden into Handmaiden into Matron - work just fine. >:C The reason Seraphim don't spawn is because they were excluded from the mod, presumably by accident. Dropping the attached folder into ThingDefs_Races should fix it. I'm going to poke at the transformation eligibility conditions later, since it's the only thing different that I can find.

...Fuck. I don't yet know what the deal is with the "Pawn is healed" notification, but I figured out what's wrong with the Nephila transformation sickness, and it's stupid, and ENTIRELY UNRELATED TO THE DLL - it wears off. That's it, it wears off too soon. The duration is between 1 and 2 quadrums or 15 to 30 days, inherited from the Mechanite illness type, and at a progression rate of 4.5 per day, pawns will only transform after about 22.2 days, which requires a high roll on the disease length - over half. And that's only if you don't tend it. The solution I used is to go into the Hediff and change the severity per day from 4.5 to 7.5. The attached files will fix things so the variant of Nephila Sickness added by the Awakened Empire start will always cause a transformation in about 13 days if untreated, and fixes a bug where the Scenario sickness is used by the "nephila-venom infused tentacle" damage type, instead of the non-scenario version. I think these particular bugs might date all the way back to HiveBro's original mod too, we just didn't notice. Just drop into the 1.5/Defs folder.

running in to a problem I did a new empire start and once my pawn finished the transformation I cant claim the permit. the one you unlock when you first become a vailed once
