Error: NiOverride not installed - even with RaceMenu

As title says. Every time I load into the game, I get an error thrown that causes all NPCs to A-pose and disables animations. I unfortunately added a bunch of mods at once and then got interrupted, so I'm not sure at what step in my process this happened, nor has trying to disable individual mods help. I've been at this for a few days and am completely and utterly lost. Thank you for any and all help ❤️

Do you have a file named "SKSE\Plugins\nioverride.dll" in your data directory?

Where does it come from?

MO2 displays the answer to these two questions in the right-hand pane; Vortex should as well.

If you don't have the file, that's the problem.  If you do, the mod that it comes from is giving you the wrong version for your game.  Most likely in any case...

This is not the Technical Support forum for Special Edition/AE games.  There is another forum for your game version.  This forum is for LE/regular Skyrim.

The question is the same for both releases. So it belongs here.

That makes no sense. By the logic of the first sentence the post would belong in both sections. See below for more on why you are incorrect.

And while we are here - with SE/AE which version of Racemenu one uses depends very much on the Skyrim exe version you have. Most LE users would not know that.

The below post is a good example of why it is important to post in the correct place. The info is good for LE but useless for SE/AE.

The SE version does not have that dll.
