Sometingcool Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 I was trying to change the skin tone of Serana in an npc replacer until the head textures started to mess up. In Creation Kit, I changed the SkinTone.dds to the values I wanted. Afterwards, I exported the face gen data for Serana and saved my edits in Creation Kit. When I loaded the game, Serana's head and body color match. But now the head is missing the eye, hair, etc textures even though I didn't touch the Textures folder in the replacer. And there's a war paint applied to the face but the replacer doesn't use any war paints. How do I fix the textures issue? This is before and after I edited the skin tone in CK and exported the face gen data.
traison Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 And you're sure this is not a mod conflict of some kind, shifted some load orders around that would be relevant to the facegen files? Made sure the file being used is actually the one you generated? Also, you don't have one of those automatic facegen generating mods? If none of that is the issue then, well, never seen this issue before. If this happened to me however, the first thing I'd do is open the generated head nif in NifSkope and find out why the eye and hair textures ar missing and where its expecting to find them. I have a feeling that the texture path is going to be a hint to what went wrong there. 1
Grey Cloud Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 You could also go back to the CK and see what it says about the hair colour, eyes and warpaint.
