Sometingcool Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 I'm still quite new in using Outfit Studio but, I'm editing a mod called Hot Booty made by PredatorRJ. In the mod, there are Shorts that are in Slot 32 along with the 3BA Body while the Tank Top is in Slot 46. I want to change the Shorts to a different slot (I chose Slot 52) and the Tank Top to be the one that's in Slot 32. So, I changed the armor slot of the Shorts from Slot 32 to 52 in SSEdit. After that, I went into Outfit Studio and changed the partitions for both pieces and I added a 3BA body for the Tank Top. For the Shorts, I deleted the 3BA body parts in Outfit Studio. After that though, when I loaded the game the alternate textures for the Shorts don't show for any of the other colored shorts. It only defaults to the blue shorts for all shorts variants. The tank top's textures work fine though. I know I did something wrong but I'm not sure what. Could anyone help me find where I went wrong and how to fix it?
traison Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 Did you change the slot in both the ARMA and ARMO records? Also, how are the texture variants implemented? Properly, or the way people usually do it? That is to say, are they separate ARMA/ARMO records, separate meshes entirely or implemented properly with texturesets? 1

I don't know the terms but if ARMA and ARMO mean "Armor" and "Armor Addon", then yes. I changed the slots in both sections. In the Armor and Armor Addons, there's multiple records that say the different colored shorts like "Shorts Jeans Black", "Shorts Jeans Blue", "Shorts Jeans Red", etc. In the meshes folder there's a Shorts.nif and a Top.nif I'm sorry if that doesn't answer the question, I recently just started learning how to use Outfit Studio and SSEEdit so this is still all new to me. traison Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 Only thing that comes to mind there is to go over the ARMA records and make sure the "3D Name" of the alternate texture is still correct. Also I don't know what the "3D Index" is, that may be relevant as well. 1
traison Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 Solved. 3D Index I took the liberty to fix some issues while I was at it. There's a link in your PM's to my server where you can grab my edits. 1
