limonotu Posted July 4, 2024 Posted July 4, 2024 Hi! In a fresh game, a strange behavior appeared: when I reload a quick save (and sometimes even a classic save), the skin of my character’s body turns pink (just the body, not the head, hands or feet) and impossible to make the color disappear. Spoiler Moreover, by testing the appearance of this colored aberration with the saves, I realized that the thumbnail image no longer corresponded to the time I had saved but appears delayed. I don't know if it's relative... I tried a new save, but the problem is there (body color & save thumbnail). I don't know what to twink, maybe it's a loading bug from the numerous mods I have but the stability was here yesterday.
Grey Cloud Posted July 4, 2024 Posted July 4, 2024 Something to do with freckles overlay? Is it affecting just your character or all females?

One of them is pink or possibly missing (blueish). 6 minutes ago, limonotu said: I realized that the thumbnail image no longer corresponded to the time I had saved but appears delayed. I've been seeing this as well. As far as I know it's harmless. Only thing I find curious about this is that the game is apparently constantly taking screenshots, how else could it use an image that was rendered 10 seconds ago for the quicksave I just made.

That would make sense, and that's how I assumed it would work. I however recently had a save made inside the Sleeping Giant when I went to bed, and the preview for that save is from outside of Riverwood near Alvor's forge when I came running into town some 30+ seconds earlier. So yeah, game doing something funny in that regard.
limonotu Posted July 4, 2024 Author Posted July 4, 2024 Ok, so reloading Racemenu preset is a good solution. But I'd like to know why something from those textures have a hard time to load when I go through my saves...

If so then that is not a solution. 4 minutes ago, limonotu said: But I'd like to know why something from those textures have a hard time to load when I go through my saves... That's why I suggested you save a preset and analyze the jslot file. If you find the texture that is pink, you can query your mod manager for which mod is providing that texture. Chances are its the same mod that also has the script that's messing up the texture color. You find the script, you can fix the problem.
limonotu Posted July 4, 2024 Author Posted July 4, 2024 I indeed reload a personnal preset made before the problem. With it, when I reload, the skin briefly appears pink but load correctly (within no more than a second). My game loading performance with texture is now a problem? Like you suggested, I save the pink body preset to compare the color value with a preset which correctly work : I don't see any differences, with Skin Tone nor anything else.
