Have you seen Batman: Caped Crusader on Prime? They've managed to something I'd have sworn was not possible: they've given Harley all the sex appeal of a bag of turnips.

I swear, even the gender-flipped penguin in the series has got more going for her their depiction of Harley.

I know she is so ugly but that's what the showrunner Bruce T wanted when creating the show. It was a different version of DC yall.

Ich weiß, dass sie so hässlich ist, aber genau das wollte Showrunner Bruce T bei der Erstellung der Show. Es war eine andere Version von DC, Leute.

And because the artists and writers of these comics eventually run out of really new creative ideas, they put all the "universes" into one and think they're brilliant... but ultimately it just gets more boring.

How old are Superman and co? ... I'm 62 myself and many are much older than me... will something really new be told at some point - or is it all just the thousandth "rehash" of the same old story?

And the "role swap" in a parallel universe is no longer original at some point!

Ah, there was something else:

My favorite? -> Lday Deadpool

And yet for Clayface, who has had four or five versions in the comics (including a female version), they were pretty much obsessive about getting Basil Karlo as true to the original as possible. Go figure.

I enjoyed DC Comics back in the day, way before Miss Margot Robbie was a sparkle in her parents eye!  :lol:

While she has done the best acting job by far, the only reason is there is nothing to compare to.

I am pushing 70 (1954) while DC Comics started 20 years earlier (1934) so they were not only well established but a mainstay of my youth. Initially, the company (DC Comics) was started mostly for financial reasons. Its founder, Major Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson, decided to start the National Allied Publications in the Autumn in 1934 with the sole aim of trying to turn a profit. To do this, they decided to get in on the pulp comic market that was emerging among younger audiences.

As I see it the real talent all died out in the late 60's and I am speaking of Art, Artistic Thinking, Design, Form & Function but I think this has followed the progression of shifting Lifestyles as well as progression to Television then Film (the Big Screen), now it is all influenced by the Computer aided tech. Young people have not followed using their own Artistic vent to the same degree as those before them had, instead turning toward other Avenues of Expression. Then there is the simple fact of Economics in play as well, cost goes up, hours worked increase, creativity goes down. Lifestyle Oppression if you will.

The Talent in Hollywood has diminished drastically to the point of having to dip that far into the past to get something that the Executives will flag as good enough to budget for production, individual thinking and the free spirited expression of art & Talent has been all but squashed. But as one looks at it, exactly what is being taught? Computer Design, Computer assisted tech, there are fewer and fewer areas of opportunity open for true Artists and those with natural Talent.

Without these computers and the people who use them we would not have all these Super Hero movies and Characters to watch on screen.

The overall loss is teaching young people to use their Imagination, Creative Thought.

Here is a true Artist I first saw while reading a Magazine called Heavy Metal, Luis Royo.

To an extent I agree some things get old fast but there's still plenty of things tv wise for dc to try out. I think we need a proper kid series with batman his son and wife.
