Mallory Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 So, I'm posting this mostly because I've seen nothing of the sort, and anyone I've asked has never seen anything akin to it either. Given the NPC Editor is limited, and I'm not savvy enough with computer software things ("things" being my technical term) to figure out how to effectively use the Creation Kit, I figure I'd prompt those who are software savvy with a query about the topic at hand.Is there anyway to create a mod that enables the player to use the "showracemenu" Command, or some other method akin to it, on targeted NPCs to modify their appearance within the game? I've mods that grant sliders (breast and ass size, for example) which the NPC Editor is incapable of loading, and I'd particularly love to be able to edit an NPC within the game effectively. It could even be spell related, where I cast said spell on someone, and it opens up the Race Menu for them, giving me the ability to easily alter their look - and possibly even name - within the game itself. If there is something like that, and I'm just beating a dead horse here, I'd greatly appreciate a link to it.
Expired6978 Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 NPCs don't work the same way the player does. Their heads are not generated ingame as the player's is. You would have to use the ini-setting that turns off face loading and let FaceGen generate everyones head, which will result in nobody having warpaint and potentially dark face bugged. The internal functions used to edit the player are also mainly hardcoded to the player, you can't simply change the target of the menu to someone else. While not entirely impossible if you re-create the whole menu, it's not going to happen.

Monsto Brukes Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Alternate Actors http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/36047/? I installed and used it a couple times. I think there's a persistent "feature" where you have to draw your weapon once it's completed in order for perspective to be completed. But Yeah so I went into my follower (the elf broad from the Drunken Huntsman), changed all her shit via showracemenu, then popped back into the my char and all was good. Only problem is that the change is NOT PERSISTENT. It holds all changes in that save game only.

But the change of an NPC in a save stays that way in the save, right? I don't mind not having Jenassa (The elf broad) look changed in one save and not the rest, but if she remains changed in that save, then I'm good.
