Marrying Deborah De Robertis

Hi, I just got a question. I had my sim marry KW's Deborah De Robertis, and have her move into the family. However, even after she's moved in, she is not controllable. Is there a way to be able to control her (however limited) after she's become a part of my sim's household so that we can have her do certain tasks or what not?

You need to be careful with the KW NPCs, they are volatile Sims and meant to be controlled by KW, if you move them into lots or households you could mess up Demographics.

What can I do?? 😭😭
At the very least, even if I don't control her, is there a way for my sim to still safely marry Debora De Robertis?

The problem seems to be that KW sims have certain roles, which you break when you move them out of that generic NPC pool household.

 

You can play a sim looking like Deborah, just "edit in CAS", save her, then load her preset in CAS for a new game (and maybe give her a new name) but AFAIK you will break your game if you e.g. try to marry a high school teacher, the Exhibition career photographer, or if you have your only Simj register as a KW highschool teacher, etc.

I remember customizing a Cab driver in CAS and made a save of that sim while there. Later I chose that Sim save when creating a new one, let's just say it wasn't normal with fewer traits which included one for horses.

 

It's obvious EA had a plan when they made this game and that plan doesn't always play nice with mods and expectations.

 

I agree though, copying a Sim to CAS or using the default version from there as a player made or ACTIVE Sim is the best option. Never try to bring NPC's into Active Status.

sorry for necroposting, it seems it is unable to have a baby with some KW NPC girls even you marry them and take to you  household (((
