Liunaa Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 (edited) This is my first time modding skyrim, and I've been experiencing a crash where I can play the game and save the game, but whenever I load a save it crashes shortly thereafter. It could be a save with nothing installed afterwards and without closing the game, or with closing the game, and gave the same crash Heres the crashlog, using Trainwreck https://pastebin.com/9DDrYbsE What I've done so far: - Reinstall SKSE and SSE Engine fixes - Followed this guide on enabling savegamemaxsize and increasing mxstdio - Made sure loot order, FNIS and Nemesis (have both for creature animations) all went through properly - Did have a warning on FNIS about too many animations, so upgraded it to the XXL program. Then, it showed warnings for the Zaz animations i downloaded, so i went and changed it to the 8+ animations I know I need for some mods, then no warnings. However, now when booting up the game it is crashing on the main menu screen, though looks like the same reason - Did run the game with all my animations mods disabled afterwards and is still doing the same thing Edited June 10, 2024 by Liunaa Forgot a step taken
Liunaa Posted June 10, 2024 Author Posted June 10, 2024 Also this is my first time posting on this forum so sorry if slow to respond due to not seeing it, or if theres parts of posting I missed.
traison Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 In the future, consider using a logger more suitable for remote assitance. The stack and the callstack do not line up for some reason. I suspect something was read wrong but I can't tell what without closer inspection. So for now, 2 suspects: This crash was indirectly caused by CombatMusicFix.dll. This crash was caused by EngineFixes.dll. My bet is on #1.

Alright disabled combat music fix in MO2, ran and crashes as it loads into main menu still. Reinstalled SSE engines fixes and ran, same thing disabled SSE engine fixes just to see, though definitely need it enabled, and same issue. heres the log after disabled combat music fix, using the one you sent now https://pastebin.com/35wMcNET

Ah i figured it out! the reason it was still there after deleting it is cause had dTry plugin updates installed as well, which that was where the .dll causing issues was. deleted that and everything is going fine, made sure to try a few different things with the saving and loading and its all good! thanks so much for the help!
