DorkundusChungus Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 (edited) Hello, I am encountering a horrific stutter in my game. I am not really sure when it started because I rarely install new mods and also rarely play fallout 4. I have had this issue for about a year now and it has been preventing me from playing. I finally decided to try to resolve the issue today but am having absolutely zero luck with it. My specs: RTX 4090 24GB VRAM 32GB RAM 7950X CPU 4TB NVME M2 Drive I HIGHLY doubt it is my specs for obvious reasons and I have confirmed with performance monitoring that the game is not even using half my ram and VRAM when the stutter occurs. Mostly the stuttering occurs in combat and it is honestly horrific. In some cases after getting hit by something like a single bullet the game will freeze completely from 1-3 seconds. There is no pattern to the stutter that I can tell. However it can occur outside of combat as well. I never downloaded any of the recent updates so my game is pre-May update. I tried removing my SKSE mods and any mods I've installed in the last year to no avail. Has anyone ever heard of this occurring without it being a Hardware issue? Google is returning no results that describe my problem Edited June 7, 2024 by glock88
travelmedic Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 Do you have "weapon debris" turned on or off? In my case it was on and causing constant crashes. I had to turn it off both in the Fallout ini file, but also the main game launcher. I don't know that that's your issue, but it's worth investigating.

Just checked, yeah I have it disabled in both the launcher and the ini
