xeenix Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Just been playing around with "sexbound reborn" and it's very good, now I wonder if there are more poses. Now maybe I didn't understand something like maybe there are some items that allows different poses or there is something I didn't get about the arrows that are suppose to switch poses in the wheel (which, for now, never changed anything) but I couldn't get any more poses. Also is there mods to add poses? I'm aware the mod "more poses" exists but it didn't seem to add new poses and only broke the pov of certain poses. Thanks for the read as my research on the side did not yields any answers.

On a long-ass, detailed response; Spoiler There is art made and being worked on for all Vanilla races that would expand upon the amount of positions, the art on some positions, and more-over, hopefully make three-some positions properly usable with custom art. Sadly, working on adding new positions is somewhat overwheling and very time consuming, not just on the art side, but implementation wise. The animation file that Sexbound uses is already something like 14-thousand lines long, and i'm aiming to at least double the amount of positions, thus, probably making it at least around 20k lines long if my measurements check out. This whole process needs to be written, checked on, measure, and tweaked manually, takes forever, and there are two separate animation files to do this for; Centered and non-centered. So yeah, there are extra positions not just planned, but *required* since currently, FxF interactions only have one valid position. Hope to have sated your curiosity. If anyone else was working on "new positions", then i don't know. I know the "Pygophilia Upgrade" technically duplicates positions, but none of them sound like whole new positions, so pardon if i'm mistaken there.
xeenix Posted May 31, 2024 Author Posted May 31, 2024 Thanks, I understand that it was a ton of work it's just that I wanted to be sure that I didn't just miss something. I also thought that new player would like to know those kinds of things so it could be good to have a topic like that. So that means the arrow on the UI are only for future proofing I imagine? 1

Indeed, the arrows on the UI are for switching pages for more positions, but they don't do anything until there are more than 8 positions.
xeenix Posted May 31, 2024 Author Posted May 31, 2024 Also there is something I find strange. The github mention that bed with addon don't give you access to all position compared to table, yet, I have exactly the same number of position, Did I just misunderstood something?
Erina Sugino Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Now, to alleviate some confusion that seems to have arisen due to naming. "Poses", and as such, the mod "More Poses" refers to POV. And the "More Poses" mod is old and not fully functional out of the box with POV Redux. I also don't necessarily think it adds anything that POV Redux doesn't already have? But I could be wrong. Furthermore, POV ist just the window in the bottom right of the Sex UI, showing a first-person "point of view" of the action as separate animation. It has technically nothing to do with the sex "positions" you can actually do it in. Now, speaking of, "positions" are the variations of sex positions the present actors can actually fuck in. The ones you select by pressing on the up to 8 icons per page around the wheel. There is currently only a maximum total of 8 of these. They have some variations - like half of them being 2 and 3 actor compatible, or being available as "on table", "on bed" or "normal" variants; which, in the latter case, however only changes some offsets and the idle position. The arrows on the UI are to switch pages of positions - but, as mentioned before already, naturally only does things when there are more than 8 positions. So currently it does nothing, but was a severe requirement to be implemented for more positions to ever exist. Next, the Pygophilia addon. It technically uses the second page as it technically adds 8 more positions. This, however, is solely done to have new names to add new POV animations for solely anal stuff, and the positions themselves iirc are just duplpicated existing ones - so technically speaking nothing new. Now finally, I'm really curious as to where in the GitHub you have found any information about tables and beds not having all positions? The only limiting factor to how many positions are available right now are A: if the two (or three) actor's body traits allow position X to occur, and monsters (through e.g. Teratophilia or Critter Bang) having generally less support.
xeenix Posted May 31, 2024 Author Posted May 31, 2024 Well seems like I misread the end of the usage part of the github so that's just that. Anyway thanks for the clarification and overall information. I guess I should look into the mod more I've seen that they're actually some descent mod documentation. Anyway thanks for the clarification.
