Sorry to bother you, but I just wanted to ask—when I use this mod, Carlotta’s eyes disappear whenever she blinks. Is this a common issue or is it just happening to me?

Logré obtener el mod Kurumi, pero hay un problema,

solo es compatible con la versión 7.6 de WWMI y la versión de compatibilidad XXMI no funciona.

Más tarde recibiré el ISHTAR pero tiene el mismo problema.

El bendito AUTOR hace mods para versiones descontinuadas.

Made a white panty Tohsaka Rin edit of skrig's mod

Initially I wanted to make white panties and smaller panties rather than how wide and big the panties are right now, but due to the UV's it is not possible to make the panties smaller without breaking shadows/texture. Due to the UV there is a noticeable line straight down the middle when the character is half in shadow and light. Also the butt occasionally clips through the skirt which isn't really noticeable when the butt has black underwear.

 

All the issues are solved with black underwear hence the original mod kept the black underwear.

Place inside and replace existing textures after backing up the previous files if you want. Tohsaka_Rin_Carlotta\BODY\Textures

 

Also removed blue hair outline for anyone that wants it. Place inside Tohsaka_Rin_Carlotta\HAIR by replacing the current mod.ini

And another thing. Why is the sudden fuss about paid skins when we had weapon skins for paid weapons since almost the beginning?

Just wanted to say i really did not expect to see someone capable of seeing among the blind sharing such logical view in there, i sincerely appreciate your words!

Regarding the paid skins issue this is actually really simple. The skin is a paid skin. Sharing the paid skin for free via modding or otherwise is therefore pirating. I.e. taking the intellectual property of Kuro and redistributing it. Whether this is via sharing a whole paid game like classical pirating or just a simple costume is still the same thing. This is basically the bootleg version of pirating DLC. E.g. Dead or Alive for example had a ton of paid costumes DLC, nobody would deny sharing the costumes for free would simply be pirating.

Modding of new content is a grey area, therefore some companies will allow it because they see the potential to enhance the interest in their games. Dead or Alive historically hated this because they sued nude modders initially in the DOA 2 era (big scary). Suspect it was due to "if modders made the game nude, how will we sell skimpy costumes?".

There is a real difference between creating new content and modding in Kuro's own paid content.

1. Creating new content is content creation, similar to fan art, and fan expression. There's still that grey area of technically taking Kuro's characters as a base, however generally okay due to the none profit nature of distribution (Patreon creators try to side step this by asking for "donations" and making the content free after time delay). I.e. it is not Kuro's profit margins being impacted, it is simply enhancing the interest in Kuro's game and characters. Imagine if there are 100 modded costumes for Carlotta (the new 5 star resonator) this will create interest and discussion and cause more people to want to spend and pull for the character.

2. This is completely different to sharing a paid costume developed by Kuro, because 1. nothing new is being created (therefore it's just plain old stealing/pirating) 2. in this case Kuro is selling the costume, and giving the same costume out for free directly competes against Kuro's interests.

3. This is also different to modding weapons gacha, as most pull weapons for the stat bonuses, therefore modding weapon appearance does not necessarily compete with Kuro's interests.

With that said, we know modding is a grey area and some companies will allow it, while others will ban. The question becomes by doing the above will we cause any negative repercussions to the future modding community if Kuro sees this as a threat to them eventually. This no body has an answer for, but it is a potential risk.

Also, let's not go into mental gymnastics and pretend people will only buy costumes because they can afford it. People buy costumes cause the like the look of it. Further, we're talking predatory gacha/gambling tactics/companies, if people want the costume enough they will steal mums credit card to pay for it regardless of whether they can afford it or not.

In any case, I don't actually care, but the illogical preach posts lately hurt my brain. We should all get back to sharing mods rather than act like we're doing gods work. Edited by Montblanc
