So, I've been messing with manually swapping ENBs in and out of the skyrim folder for a few days, without issue.
Today however, I swapped back to a previous ENB from a backup, and the game won't launch.
MO2 suddenly says the main esms of Skyrim, hearthfires, dragonborn, etc, are missing. Every mod says those masters are missing.

I've tried using a backup of the main directory that I keep safe, and that hasn't helped. I'm pretty sure I can't very files on steam, as I'm on a pre AE build.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

The ESM files are in your game directory inside /Data. MO2 shouldn't touch those unless you go out of your way to move them into MO2. So are those files in the actual /Data folder inside your game install? If not, can you place them there, manually moving them from your backups into the expected location? If not you'll have to verify files and then use the downgrade patcher or another downgrade method to go to whatever version you are now. But the fact that those files disappeared is very worrying.

I'm away from the PC at present, so can't check, but while changing ENB's, I've not touched the data folder at all. Only enb and non foldered stuff in the main file.

I'll check that later. I should have a backup of my data folder somewhere.

Thanks.

Edit: thanks for pointing me to the data folder. I forgot that is where those esms reside.

Looks like I leant on some keys, or clicked something in haste and wiped my data folder bare! No idea how I managed that, but all fixed.

Thanks again.
