Sims 4 furries have blacked-out ears and tails

I'm using the savestate furry mod, berni's collection, and the sims4furry Mod made by SoraFoxY

Even before I downloaded the sorafoxy mod, I've had issues with furry characters having black ears and tails. Thought downloading the Sorafoxy mod would fix it, but it didn't. I've moved some folders around and the ears and some tails are still all black. I'm not sure if I missed something or if there's a corrupted file somewhere, I tried everything I can think of. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm pretty sure the OG Furry mod from Savestate is supposed to have a custom gray-ish skintone found in the misc skin collection. It's supposed to make the ears & tails & stuff not black.
