PC and NPC swtiching roles after a sexual animation

Can someone suggest why I’m experiencing this new glitch re sex animations between the player and an NPC? Sometimes, when the animation finishes, the NPC in question assumes the player’s movements and the player is doing visa versa. If I do a quick save and reload, the player gets control of his movements back 🤔🤦🏼

1) Do you use Proteus Project? If so, check your hotkey assignments. At least one older version had the default hotkey for character swap (you swap control with targeted NPC) set to the reposition up/down hotkey assigned by default in Sex Lab.  ( :/; )

2) Have you force assigned gender in any MCM that has the option, or do you allow the game to assign it at will? If the latter, ime, some indeterminate glitch can cause unintentional (presumably) gender swapping (in case you're referring to any of that) *after* an SL or related sequence completes. (that is, I recommend force assignment of at least your own character to reduce the likelihood, if that matters to you and if that's part of this issue...)

otherwise, idk

Yes, I have Proteus and the only key I swapped was the main mof key from R2 which my notebook doesnt have to F11

as for the gender assignment's they are as they should be. and, I've got the up/down keys at ; /shift for reverse and the forward/back wlth L  /shift for back.

Let me clarify, the characters don't swap sexual positions, it's when the animation is finished and I try to move my PC, the NPC moves instead

righto. I gave the second answer as a "just in case". The first answer is the important one. If you don't have any accidental hotkey cross linking (ie swap is a triggered by a hotkey ALSO used commonly outside Proteus actions) that might unintentionally perform a control swap, idk. The symptoms *sound like you performed a control swap, and proteus project is the only mod I'm aware of that provides that hotkey level feature (swap can also be done using console but you didn't mention the use of console and I presume this is not an intentional use of console to cause it)

I get what you're saying but, Ijust don't know which hotkey in Proteusis wouldbeused for control swap as I only switched the main mod view key from R2 to F11. GuessI'll try contacting the Proteuscreator andsee if he can give me any feedback Thx. ;)

OK, after opening the game and mcm, the entry is not "switch character"...

MY BAD...

But, as I noted, the default character used by Proteus Project (and Proteus, Proteus Project's revamp) to take command of NPC control is the character

if you already change Hotkey for "switching character" "taking control of NPC" in Proteus project (or Proteus's) MCM, or, in the latter mod's case, disabled its hotkeys with the convenient checkbox it provides for doing so, then there should be no connection and you can ignore what I suggested, although the problem I noted is the one most would be likely to encounter due to the default assignment of the same hotkey used by SL for repositioning actors during animation sequences,  which IS a known reason it can happen.

If it doesn't apply in your case, then obviously my suggestion doesn't apply, right? No reason to be confused.

BTW, if R2 was auto assigned for the hotkey you're using for "main view", then I'd suggest that you probably have Proteus (newer) (due to the auto assignment of "R2" for almost all entries.... interestingly enough, except for the hotkey it shares with SL-vertical repositioning). As such, I'd ask that you enter the hotkeys menu, then scroll down. You'll find the character switching (take command) entry I was talking about, which is not "main view.

snapshot of Hotkeys entries for Proteus scrolled down one click. Hotkey of interest circled in red

Again, with the exception of the disable all hotkeys checkbox, that MCM contains only the default values provided by the installation of Proteus.

BTW, with the exception of the "Disable all Hotkeys" checkbox, which was checked by me immediately after installation, having already been through much the same shenanigans back with Proteus Project, fixed it before it reared its head again, the MCM you see is the MCM as delivered during installation with no changes, aside from the one checkbox I noted.   (fwiw, I'd have preferred an "unassign hotkeys" button, like the one that Skyrim Tools provides, but this works to prevent unwanted cross coupling of hotkeys too.)
