hhh7775 Posted April 15, 2024 Posted April 15, 2024 Haven't really been sure where to look for this, but currently 28 hours into a playthrough and it would seem that whenever I go to an area where a hiyoko/child made through Tamago/Hiyoko club should be, the game crashes consistently. The only reason I'm aware that this should be an issue is a combination of what I believe is Lovers Encounter displaying the act, then eventually Tamago News informing me a child is born sometime later, in this particular case, Countess Umbranox, Delphine Jend, and Chanel, or areas where they call home/frequent, crash every time I try entering. I've also yet to see an actual hiyoko in game, so while I'm not 100% certain its the cause, it seems pretty likely from everything I've seen, whether due to some conflict or just shoddy load order. fejeena Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 After you started with Tamago/ Hiyoko have you changed your load order ? A new Mod, delete a mod? HiyokoGeneratorGeneForge.esp is usually load order independent because it use own races. Not the Mother/father races. But the children use clothes and items of the mother. And if a Mod the items come from has been deleted, the game can crash. It checks the ID based on the loader order and perhaps tries to load the item from the esp that now has the right ID number, perhaps it's now a wall instead of the required armor. = crash And other Hiyoko addons use factions or Values or ... of the parents, and the parents are checked by the load order number. If you change the Load order you get a message when you start the game the firt time. Then you should use the Tamago/Hiyoko spells and clean your game. Yes you must "kill" all children in game and start Pregnancy again. Spell: HiyokoClub Settings - Clean up That's why you should only start using Tamago once you have installed all the mods you want. Or you're constantly deleting children and starting over again. ---------------- It's the same as the Bruma statue that is built after you save Bruma. If this statue uses armor or a weapon from a mod that you later delete, the game will always crash when you enter Bruma.

I did mess with load order a tad here or there after having started my save file. Assuming that's all it is, as having loaded up a fresh save at the start and visiting the same locales led to the game being just fine and stable, is it likely that the spell to clean/clear out pregnancies and hiyokos would solve these issues for that save? I'm not particularly married to playing it if starting a fresh save is the better solution altogether, but would be nice to salvage it honestly. 19 minutes ago, Melamkish said: I don't have a lot of these mods installed, but as a start, here is a partial list of Lover's and related to get you started. What he says, as well as load order, very important! I did actually use the one Fejeena made as far as an example load order goes to begin sorting it before I started up my save! Might have to do a double take on the list you posted, and there's as well to see what I might have goofed up on. The ones that I did install myself after the fact, for the most part, seem kind of self explanatory as to where they should go (armor and overhaul mods going in their respective area on the load order) but for others I'm not really sure where they should be going, like the Alternate Start mod I downloaded, or the Simple Saves mod that I'm using to get around the finicky oblivion autosaves.
fejeena Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 You don't have to start a new game every time you change the load order. After a change you get the Hiyoko message. Then you use the Hiyoko spell and clean/delete all children. If you don't do it and you save the game you have the wrong stull in your save, and the game may even crash if you use the Hiyoko spell later. But maybe you'll be lucky and after cleaning your game will work again. If there are crashes now even after you clean up your current save, you have a find a old save before changing the loading order or start a new game. 1

Cleaning or "genociding" all the hiyokos did the trick actually! Still ended up making a new character just to try a different style of play for fun, but all the areas I was crashing before related to the characters I mentioned stopped happening, so it was definitely related to the Hiyokos one way or another. Only way to find out whether it was due to a conflict though, or due to me swapping mods while in the middle of a save with pregnancies is to have someone else give birth sooner or later and see if the hiyoko works fine and what not. Thanks for the help though! If I have any more issues, I'll poke my head around again!
LongDukDong Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 (edited) The issue you experience has been a thorn in my side for some time. And I do need say that it has been an issue I experienced way back before I started tinkering. Heck, I'd say a good 8 years ago, before Fejeena tinkered with LoversBitch. Oh, bravo on the touches there, dude. I may have a solution of sorts, an odd concept of a virtual 'recycle bin' to deal with the simultaneous on/off-screen hiyoko. At least the contributions of the 'Clean Hiyoko' feature works. OH, if you do have a Hiyoko you wish to 'save' from the wipe, you can examine the Hiyoko's Umbilical Cord to bring up a menu which lets you augment its lifespan and Cleaning Exemption features as WELL as parentage. Edited April 16, 2024 by LongDukDong
fejeena Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Bring up the Umbilical Cord menu is a good idea if you can do it before your game crash when you get near the NPC. But the game was already saved with the wrong load order. So only do this if you haven't saved the game yet. If you want to change the load order and know that then you have to clean your game you can use the Umbilical Cord ( in the NPC inventory) . Then chenge the load order and start the game and clean.
hhh7775 Posted April 19, 2024 Author Posted April 19, 2024 Checking back in just to update, tried to go visit the home of an NPC who gave birth, only to find it crashing now similar to before. I'm guessing something in my load order relating to the hiyokos just doesn't want to play nice currently, and this is on the original save where I utilized the cleaning function as I wanted to continue testing on it some (and just mess with the character more admittedly). Did reorder the load order just before I did the cleaning or allowed any other characters to get knocked up, so unsure what else there is to be done at this point for it beyond just disabling some of the extra mods I have and slowly going through it. I do have some mods that in terms of load order I'm not really sure where they belong. May try disabling Geneforge and going with something like Hiyoko Grow to see how it works. May also just test Broodmother to see if it is functioning properly since I have it installed as well. Haven't actually had the ability to mess with umbilical Cords as far as I'm aware, but, its really just due to the fact that Hiyokos are something I can't yet interact with, and haven't actually been able to see in game, as presumably wherever they exist leads to me CTDing upon entering the cell that they are in.
fejeena Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 If you have saved your game after you changed your load order, and the cleaning of the "wrong save" did not help, and you still have crashes, you have to use a save before you started/installed Tamago/Hiyoko. Or you start a new game. This is what happens when you ignore messages in game. Broodmother creature children are ok, but human children after creatures sex are "created" by Hiyoko. Broodmother only do the creature children.
hhh7775 Posted April 20, 2024 Author Posted April 20, 2024 (edited) Ended up deciding to test a new save entirely, got knocked up and everything, and both when I delivered a Hiyoko, as well as when I went to go visit the home of someone who Tamago News informed me had given birth, both times I crashed, so beginning to think it might just be an issue with the load order itself or a conflicting mod with Hiyoko Club that I'm not quite aware of yet. Edit: So, went ahead and tested a new save without Geneforge enabled, and it worked just fine. My test character and Delphine Jend both have hiyokos running around, so at least I figured out which mod was causing the issue, still uncertain as to why it was causing the issues though. Think I'll just go ahead and give the HiyokoGrow mod a try instead for now, as if I'm right, the default hiyoko generator doesn't actually have the characters faces age properly like the other mods do, right? Either way, got the issue solved. Its also worth mentioning that disabling geneforge, then loading up the old save just to see what would happen is the first time I've ever gotten the Tamago Warning pop up. The other times I messed with the load order it just mentioned in the top left that Mod indices/references were changed and fixed, so now I DO see what you mean by the actual blatant warning, I guess whatever I changed for hte previous save didn't matter particularly. Doubt I'll return to it at this point since I think I'd have to clean the world once more, and then mess with either the default hiyoko generator OR another one to see whether or not its possible to have that save work at this point, which I might just do as a test, BUT at least I've got the load order Minus Geneforge in a playable state without crashes now. fejeena Posted April 21, 2024 Posted April 21, 2024 Geneforge: Have you run the link_morph.bat ? You know can not just install Geneforge and play, first you have to run the link_morph.bat . Without it the game can not create children and the game will crash (missing files) I had more problems with the original Hiyoko than with Geneforge. But if the original Hiyoko works in your game use it. And load order and other problems see my yellow Link below. 1

Amazing how I can be willing to mess with all this, yet willingly avoided any of the actual information on the Geneforge page relating to this, and even the readme that came with it haha. In any event, did still have to do some manual messing around to get the files where they needed to be, as even being outside my program files or anywhere that requires admin privileges the bat file didn't do anything, or well, couldn't find the specified folders. Manually copying and pasting everything into the right spots worked just fine though, and now my problem has been solved. Thanks for all the help, and if nothing else, hopefully this little thread helps someone else from making the same mistake in the future!
