Suddenly corrupted(?) save file.

All of a sudden my playthrough seem to be corrupted and I am not sure why nor how. Earlier today everything worked perfectly fine. I did not add or remove any mods between both sessions. It doesn't tell it's corrupted, but after loading in the game this is what I got:

The mods in my game treat like it's loading in a new game/reset the mods (as is seen with Ordinator), when I was at level 34 or so (e.g. Wintersun asked me to pick a deity). My player character is nude, lost almost all her modded armor + her hair and the screen is flickering during loading these mods, but the NPC's are unaffected: Uthgerd on the left has still her properly functioning armor mod and as seen in the background with the blacksmith her vanilla armor replacer still intact.

 

My latest and normal, numbered save is 9,72 MB (10.201.049 bytes) on my disk, according to its properties. Usual Steam version.

I just did, but there were no cases of ''Unattached Instances'' in need of removal as found out via the instructions on the modpage.

Some things come to mind:

1. Make sure you have Engine Fixes SSE installed.
2. If you're on a recent version of Skyrim (1130/1170) make sure you have Engine Fixes SSE configured properly, as it doesn't work out-of-the-box in these versions (unless it has been patched recently).
3. Open a corrupted save in ReSaver (or inspect it in MO2). Is the plugin list the same in the save as it is in MO2; no missing entries?

1. Was already installed with the newest version (according to Nexus page)

2. How do I configure it properly or at least check it?

3. MO2 Save file tab says no missing ESL or ESP files and I don't see any differences between the ReSaver plugin tab and the aforementioned plugin list in the OP.

Couldn't it just be that I am exceeding the limitations? Thanks to all the extra required patches I am well over 255 ESP plugins according to the MO2 list. Googling more specifically on my issue points a lot of people at that might being the issue. So that would make my best bet to just trim down my modlist/merge mods where possible/get stuff ESL flagged where possible and start a new game.

If all those are actual plugins, not light plugins, then yes that's your issue.

They seem to be all esp files on top of the usual vanilla esm stuff, so probably not light ones

The ones shown in italics in MO2 in the plugin list are ESPFE/ESL flagged and thus save to ignore for the cap, right? I have used the Ruddy 88 ELSify tool for SSEEdit to do so for me, replaced a bunch of others with official lighter versions on Nexus and deleted some others.

 

But I can't tell if I am over or under the cap with the non italics versions, because both MO2 and LOOT keep counting through with both mixed.

good news/bad news : some others have had the same problem over the last few years, no reported fixes other than potentially reverting to an older save (and risking glitch reoccuring) or continuing with the current save and a report that sometimes the error clears. "Usually I fix it by changing random MCM settings or simply ignoring it and continuing to play without saving. Sometimes I'm able to create a working save after a while. It always happens randomly without me adding/removing any mods. "
