Lovely, lovely, lovely! I am grateful for the mod! I will be a beggar however. Is there a chance for a full nude, where the bottoms can be removed as well? People can snipe on those who ask those who already provide, sometimes I do. But In this case with this game, I'm saying f**k it and asking anyways since it's been so long with no full nudes, and this seems to have excellent potential. Just asking. 😁 And the progress and the mod are great. Thank you again, for the time and effort!

Edit: I think I figured out how to find them. Is it assets 39EB and 5E9 you are replacing? @mustafalis Can you confirm?

I'm on really early stages right now - figuring out game assets and their structure, learning and having troubles with new tools. What I can say already - looks like material editing will be pain in the ass, gonna avoid it like fire for now. So don't expect to see my body model and textures from TR ported to HFW any time soon or maybe ever.

For now I will try to use mostly existing HFW assets - I won't change materials, skin shaders, etc., but will try to modify HFW body models and remove/edit/swap parts of existing outfits. I'll share progress in my HC Mods corner thread.

I would love to see some tribal nude mods of random utataru and tenakth NPCs, similar to what outfit reducer achieved but with nipples and ideally more in the style of HC's skimpy outfits. 

 

Unfortunately i don't have the skills to make it happen and Hornycopter has enough on their plate as it is, and is probably tired of everyone's requests/suggestions.

Query to see if anyone else has had this cross their minds, and mostly directed towards hornycopter as they're likely the most knowledgeable on getting the idea to work (plus if it does get off the ground I'd want to ensure compatibility); has anyone considered creating a cum effect/drip mod and/or womb tattoo mod? I've mostly been re-browsing the Skyrim ACS mod as well as a 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' mod on Nexus and wondered "hmmm, has anyone created something like this for the 'Horizon' games yet? I assume not but lemme ask...". Same thought process for the womb tattoo. I don't really care for the vanilla Tanaketh tatts, but I feel there inherent potential to be done with them.

HFW modding is quite limiting - we can't create new materials - only use existing ones attached to particular outfit. Same thing with physics - we can't create new jiggle bones - only transfer existing physics affect of some cloth part nearby. Overall it will be quite hard to create something convincing.

 

Speaking of materials more - in HFW most materials don't have classic texture sets (like diffuse, specular and normal) - they are complex "layered materials" that use several masks to mix some predetermined tiled presets (like cloth, leather, plastic, metal) with some unique maps - normal, curvature and AO maps.
Colors in those "layers materials" are RGB values baked to shader, that placed also using masks. You need quite tiresome  HEX edit to change them. Also I think haven't seen on characters any single material with transparency, so we can't use transparency either - looks like it's "no" to cool transparent outfits for this game.

Body material maybe the friendliest one (but not simple either) - it mostly uses regular set of textures - so "texture stains" is the easiest root, but you still need to spend some time to create something convincing on top of body textures. 

HFW bodypaints/tattos are applied in separate layer of body materials so in this term they are quite convenient - you can edit just bodypaint masks and they will not conflict with any modded models or body textures. Colors of bodypaints are embedded inside shader too unfortunately - if you don't like default bodypaint colors for outfit - you need HEX edit to add new ones. Oh, and one more caveat - body paint designs (masks) are shared acrooss all NPCs and Aloy.

Hope this info will help somebody, as for myself - I'm busy with other mods for now.

id-daemon not long ago returned to updating his HFW tools to somethat final state as I understand - I hope the plan is to update and fix most important thing in HFW tools  - then use them as base for modding tools for HZDR. Make sense to figure out and fix all things first, then move to next game with same engine version.
