So, I have a lot or armors/clothing in my install of SE. When I choose, for example, a coat, I see the body and my installed textures. no problem with that. Well, sort of. One example is Nezzars Ultimate Lingerie Collection 2.0. I use a 3ba bodyslide, and I can build the bodyslides just fine. The issue is when I look at the crotch area. It is NOT the same as what I have installed. THe outer area is dark and the interior is darker and less detailed. This is the only clothing mod I have installed that does this. what could be the problem? imgbb link in the spoiler

That's probably a meshes problem, I've used Nezzars Ultimate Collection 2.0 for a very long time, never had anything like that happen. GREAT outfits too!

That just means the outfit contains a body, i.e. it occupies equipment slot 32, and that body is not the same one that you've installed as the naked body. Doing the conversion in Outfit Studio is simple, as long as the body the outfit comes with is of the same base type as the one you intend to convert to i.e. CBBE -> 3BA works fine.

Another thing that causes a lot of issues regarding this is that mod authors seem to have a hard time labeling their outfits correctly. You'll find "3BBB" outfits that are actually 3BAv1*, you'll find "3BAv2" outfits that are 3BAv1, CBBE SMP outfits that are plain old CBBE etc. etc. The only real way to tell what an outfit actually is, is to look at it with NifSkope or BodySlide and compare shapes and sliders to what you expect to see. The only thing that seems to almost always be correct is the texture UV - I have not downloaded a mod that claimed to be of some CBBE variant that actually turned out to be UNP or vanilla based in a long time - but this has happened in the past as well.

*  Yes I realize the 3B in 3BA stands for 3BBB, but there used to be a CBBE 3BBB body as well, or perhaps CBBE 3BBB was renamed to 3BAv1 at some point. My point is, stick to one name and stop mixing things togeter. Don't label the next iteration of 3BAv2 as 3BAv2 just because the changes aren't big enough to warrant it being 3BAv3, someone's going to care and that someone is going to get annoyed when they realize there's more than one 3BAv2 variant - its not like you're going to run out of numbers: "3BAv419". </rant>

(BHUNP suffers from that as well...)

it's complicated by the fact that sometimes, an author uses a custom-tweaked mesh as his/her reference body for an armor item. So unless you can access that specific model, and have a Bodyslide for it, you can't duplicate 100%. Maybe 98% maybe even 99.5%, but not 100.

Not to mention that some items, (ime, jewelry is notorious for it) are missing a visible reference body when viewed/edited in Bodyslide, so adjustments are difficult at best. and has to be built "blind".

For these I temporarily add a reference body during adjustments and remove it after. Simple idea, I know, but sometimes its the simple ideas that elude us - so figured I would mention it.
