irzal Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Hi everyone. In an effort to make my Elder Scrolls adult gaming complete I decided to start with Morrowind, continuing with Oblivion and then with Skyrim and that of course means that I have to incorporate the infamous "Lovers & Legends" Mod in my session of Morrowind. Since the last time I played Morrowind I upgraded to a Windows 7 computer and now I cannot get the mod running for the love of god. (I remember that it worked previously.) Every time I want to use it the game crashes. Things I have tried so far: - Reinstalling the mod precisely as stated in the Readme. - Changing the Load order - Letting Morrowind and the monitoring program run with Administrator rights and compatibility mode (Win XP SP 2 and 3 tried both) - Starting a new, clean game and then installing the mod afterwards. It does not matter what I try, as soon as the sex scene should commence I either get a "Your Lover has turned you down" message (even when the disposition is 100) or the game crashes. It should be worth noting that I also have the Morrowind Overhaul installed (another thing, apart from the OS that is different from my last playing of Morrowind when the mod still worked.) My question is: - Are there any people out there who managed to get the mod running with Win7/MGSO? - Any suggestions what I could try and haven't so far? Thanks in advance.
Brigade Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Depending on the the last time you installed morrowind, it may just be time for a fresh install.
irzal Posted November 1, 2013 Author Posted November 1, 2013 I installed Morrowind just a few days ago and to my knowledge the mod does not overwrite any files, it just creats lists. But I could try it even though I am positive it will not make a difference.
GECK.O Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Wow, sex mod for the Morrowind! So what this mod do? Is there any Battle Rape? Bestiality? Where is the official download link for the latest version? Including the tutorial to install it?
Shinryuu Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Lovers and Legends is notorious for bugging and crashing. Shame Cello never truly fixed all the issues. Make sure to keep several save files handy, and try saving and loading frequently. Sometimes that works for me. Don't get too excited there, Gecko. Yes, it is a sex mod for Morrowind, but it is an absolute pain to get it working correctly. Keep your expectations tempered.
irzal Posted November 2, 2013 Author Posted November 2, 2013 GECK.O: The mod is a simple consensual sex mod. No rape and no bestiality. You walk up to an NPC, raise his/her disposition to 80 and ask him for sex. Then a sex scene should commence in which you can control the movements and change position. If you have been successful the NPC likes you even more. There is also an integration for the Romance Mod, meaning the sex in the romance is actually this scene. Google for "Mr. Cellophanes Lovers and Legends". The mod comes with an instruction to install it, but when you run into trouble like I did, there is no help. I found an upgraded version where you simply have to rename files. Does anyone know how I get the names for heads/hair/bodies for the player and the NPCs?
GECK.O Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Bad news... I thought I will get excitement to play Morrowind. I never play that game, but I have the game, my brother bought it years ago. I installed that game months ago, but uninstalled again because the graphic is so outdated.
irzal Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 For outdated graphics that is what the Morrowind Overhaul is for. Looks better than Skyrim with it. But I suppose it inferferes with Lovers and Legends. For rape and bestiality there were a few text based mods (Guard humiliation comes to mind.) But they weren't exactly my cup of tea. Play it, it's good, even without sex.
FallenWarrior Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Galgat made some good mods for Morrowind, Kinky Guild, Guard Humiliation (as mentioned) and Ageless Death. But like irzal said, it depends on your cup of tea. There's also Hexenfels by Axel not to mention Almilias Daughters by KillerBeer
gregathit Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Course you could just install the Morrowind mod for Oblivion and use Lovers with PK.
irzal Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 True, but then all the other mods for Morrowind would not work either and some of them I don't want to miss. I will test it now on a non MGSO-version and see if that makes a difference. If not, I have to live without it. ;_;
GECK.O Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Course you could just install the Morrowind mod for Oblivion and use Lovers with PK. I heard that before... How stable and complete the mod is? If 95-99% done, I probably will try it now.
FallenWarrior Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 There's a Morrowind mod for Skyrim as well
irzal Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 Course you could just install the Morrowind mod for Oblivion and use Lovers with PK. I heard that before... How stable and complete the mod is? If 95-99% done, I probably will try it now. It's stable alright. At least that is what they claim. (Never tried it.) It's called Morroblivion. Same page has the Skyrim mod. You need to have both: Morrowind and Oblivion to play it, tho.
GECK.O Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 The Morroblivion. I just read their FAQ: Current Status (version 060) Completed: 100% of the main Morrowind game has been completed, and is fairly well debugged (details here). There is very little that gets in the way of a complete Morrowind experience. In Progress: Bloodmoon and Tribunal debugging (volunteer here). Mostly playable, but you will encounter bugs. Long Term: Porting Morroblivion to the Skyrim engine (discussion here). 100% complete! I'm downloading it now. The Skywind screenshots look very nice.
