Melandrhild82 Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Hello, I use DMZ body and the outfits he made for it. But for "casual" outfit, the boots (feet) part and the gloves (hands) part are missing, they appear as invisible. It says it lacks texture : warlockrobes.dds Would anyone have this ?
Guest Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Hi. It's a pity that I deleted my account on nexusmods and now I can't download anything there. You can send me the mesh of this outfit so that I can help you somehow. It's most likely not a lack of texture, because if it wasn't there you'd be seeing purple objects. If the object is invisible, this means that the mesh itself is missing in these places.
fejeena Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 I thought I'd take a quick look at my downloads folder (because I don't use DMZ in my in my current game) But I have many DMZ files and none with the name DMZ body outfits. Which mod? What is the "casual" outfit ? Outfit = clothes? Maybe you have the texture , but the textures path in the nif is wrong. Check the foldes of the download So can't be the "DMZ Vortex armor replacer" Mod, only armors in the Mod. https://www.loverslab.com/topic/112782-dmz-vortex-armor-replacer-in-peaces/ The nif files in that Mod are very dirty. Some of the nif I cleaned, see my files in that thread. But there are still other "bad" nif files like .... Spoiler Orcish Original nif cleaned nif --------------------------------------------------- or Legion Dragon Why are boot in the gloves nif? If you wear gloves and boots you have two boot = flickering in the game. Before installation clean the nif files ! And delete unused nif . In meshes\armor\ folder are nif files. In the armor folder, not in the subfolders with the armor names. You can delete the 10 nif files. The Mod is a replacer without esp but no vanilla armor nif are outside the subfolders. ------------------ Please the Mod name and armor/clothes name, best the nif name. If you have the "DMZ Vortex armor replacer" you have the warlockrobes.dds and the warlockrobes_n.dds Was in the " DMZ and Vortex DMZ Vanilla Armors separated 2.rar " in folder textures\clothes\DMZ Alpha\ But none of the nif in the armor replacer use this texture ( I didn't check not all nif, but most use vanilla textures )
Guest Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 (edited) fejeena, I remember a little about this problem with shoes on clothes, but due to the fact that too much time has passed since I played Oblivion, I can’t remember what needed to do to solve it. You can check this plugin? Perhaps it contains the mesh of this robe. I can’t check it myself, for the reasons I said above. At first I also started looking at the available files here and found only "DMZ Vortex armor replacer", but after reading the description I realized that it does not contain clothes. added: Now trying to find at least some information specifically on “warlockrobes” I found this. So it’s not a fact that this mesh applies specifically to clothing. But I could be wrong. The bad thing is that I don’t have this game on my computer right now. =/ I looked at the textures from the second plugin pack available here. It seems to me that exactly warlockrobes.dds has nothing to do with the textures of gloves and shoes. I should probably look at the mesh itself to better understand the problem, but I didn't find it in this package. Although I do not rule out that simply installing this texture will help avoid problems. 🙂 Edited January 24, 2024 by DXCinereus
fejeena Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 That's why I wrote 2 hours ago, fejeena said: Please the Mod name and armor/clothes name, best the nif name. If you have the "DMZ Vortex armor replacer" you have the warlockrobes.dds and the warlockrobes_n.dds Was in the " DMZ and Vortex DMZ Vanilla Armors separated 2.rar " in folder textures\clothes\DMZ Alpha\ But none of the nif in the armor replacer use this texture ( I didn't check not all nif, but most use vanilla textures ) We have the texture in the armor Mod but no nif that use the texture. (At least I haven't found any gloves or boots that use the warlockrobes texture ) So Melandrhild82 must tell us the Mod or upload the nif to check what's wrong. But like you said, invisible doesn't sound like a missing texture, but rather a mistake in the nif (maybe wrong textures path ) . But missing textures can cause different bug, depending on what is missing, Texture, normal map or both. Nif can be black, purple or invisible. We'll know more when we have the Nif files.
Guest Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 While looking through similar clothing and armor replacement plugins, I noticed that almost every type of clothing has shoes with a separate mesh. Therefore, the mistake of their absence in this case may be a simple inattention to the requirements of the established work. And yes, I plunged into memories and tried to find a utility that I once really loved, which helped me more than once. I hope this will help you find the required meshes and their locations.
Melandrhild82 Posted January 24, 2024 Author Posted January 24, 2024 It's some outfits Daarigaz gave on his old tumblr "wherenonesgoes". there 10 outfits with no esp that my husband put in my Oblivion (in the Vortex chest in the bloodworks) One of the nif had a mistake on the texture path for skin, and for the casual one the textures paths for gloves and boots direct to textures he cannot find. Anyway, thanks for the help !
fejeena Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 ???? Does it work now with the warlockrobes.dds from " DMZ and Vortex DMZ Vanilla Armors separated 2.rar " ?
Melandrhild82 Posted January 24, 2024 Author Posted January 24, 2024 (edited) It works great for the gloves, but not for the boots, my husband made a mistake, it's a leatherboots.dds texture, present where the nif directs, and there is toes in place of the boots. in game. Edited January 24, 2024 by Melandrhild82
fejeena Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Then change the textures path in the nif. Upload the nif / nifs if you need help.
Melandrhild82 Posted January 24, 2024 Author Posted January 24, 2024 The textures paths seem correct, but I have the toes instead of boots. Casual.nif
fejeena Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 (edited) The path is not right, it is c:\gog games\oblivion\data\textures\darigaz17\shared\leatherboots.dds You can not use a full path, the path have to start with textures\ . . . With the full path the nif can only use the the leatherboots.dds if the texture is in c:\gog games\oblivion\data\textures\darigaz17\shared\ folder. Anyone who has installed their game somewhere else doesn't have the correct textures in the game. And the NiTriStrips name should not be foot. Names foot, hand, upperbody and LowerBody are for skin. And that's the reason the nif can not use the leatherboots.dds in your game. Wrong textures path. And the game notice the NiTriStrips name foot and use the skin texture. And another bug in the nif : there are toe nails inside the boots. Here a cleaned nif: right path, changed NiTriStrips name (now boots) , without toe nails. ( I hope the texture is in textures\darigaz17\shared\leatherboots.dds Casual.nif EDIT: in the DMZ armor Mod the leatherboots.dds is in textures\clothes\DMZ Alpha\ So here a nif with path textures\clothes\DMZ Alpha\leatherboots.dds Casual-2.nif !!! You must rename the nif to Casual.nif Edited January 24, 2024 by fejeena
Melandrhild82 Posted January 24, 2024 Author Posted January 24, 2024 Thanks a lot, we still have a lot to learn we start from nothing, messing with things with nifskope.
