Odd issue with loading saved game

So, whenever I load my save, from what I can tell it resets my character to a saved preset on Racemenu, so for example I downloaded a new hair mod, I change my characters hair to one of the new ones, I finish up in Racemenu and then play the game, if I save and quit, then open Skyrim again and load up that same save, It will revert the hair back to the one associated with my Racemenu preset. Why would it be doing that? I do not recall ever having any sort of issue with it doing that in the past.

Fairly certain there's been several of these threads already here on LL in the past year. Can't recall a solution however.

Oof, so this isn't an isolated incident? I guess that's sorta nice to hear, could mean it's not on my end and more so the mod itself. But yeah I cannot for the life of me figure out a fix, feels like I've tried everything.

I managed to figure out my specific issue, it was Proteus, it had an option in it's MCM to load a preset upon game start. Turning that off fixed my issue.
