kuromahou Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 If you disable skylighting, ambient occlusion, and DOF in the enbseries.ini, then you can get the game looking great for almost no performance hit FYI. I use Unbleak ENB with 2.31 and it runs great. And FYI enb can actually make skyrim run faster, use memory/cpu better, and get you an increase in smoothness and fps. Install d3d9.dll and enbhost.exe and the enb booster mod off nexus, and it optimizes the game with no added effects.

...0... Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I use Realvision/hrk enb and some other mods for enhancements like CoT-RLO lushgrass and grass on steriods and WATER 2. But ive removed almost all HD enhanced texture mods including bethesda ones and my game runs smoother still looks good and less CTD. Still not satisfied but im to lazy to check everything and keep tweaking(to busy making characters for screenshots section here on forum:P) but i can live with sometimes CTD and eternal loading screens i just login in a room and then go to main character always works for me. MB ivy bridge cpu i7-3770k OC AMD 7970 OC 3gb PSU corsair gold 850 and DDR 3 1866 GHZ 16gb corsair platinum. Skyrim is bugged nomatter if your using a super nasa quantum computer. Guest Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 ENBs shaft my FPS by half, but I reckon it's worth it. I've used sweetfx for MMOs, and spent weeks/months tweaking them, but ENB is miles better imo. I only have to disable ENB in game to remind myself why I'm putting up with 30fps rather than 60. Skylighting though...fuck knows. I guess I see a marginal improvement with it enabled, though I use an ENB that the author insists depends on it
Nev4r Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Correct me if I'm wrong. Skylighting is skyAO and only works on exterior part of the game. Makes the game darker and improves shadows. Especially shadows casted by structures such as whiterun entrance. It's best if you leave it off. It's one of them features where performance really goes down south when used.
