All actors (including the player) stuck in a t-pose

Tried getting into Skyrim modding but haven't been able to get the skeletons to work.

Whenever I try to use FNIS to generate the files it doesn't work, and I'm stuck in a t-pose, along with everyone else.

I don't know if this is related to the fact I can't find the "XPMSSE.esp" file (From what I can assume, it's somehow different from the XPMSE.esp file that's linked everywhere) or something else, but I've been going damn-near insane trying to figure this out for the past 3 hours or so.

Additionally when I try to run FNIS through MO2, GenerateFNIS_LogFile.txt either doesn't get created or is deleted by FNIS after it's done.

My only option, it seems, is to put every mod file directly into my Skyrim folder and not use MO2.

If someone knows what the hell is going on please do tell me.

I use Vortex, & I look at FNIS on the load page when Vortex opens , add to my desktop, then open, click run FNIS and let it roll, when it is done it will give you a list of verified animations, click Consistence check and it should be all good.

See if that helps, if not maybe another user will help. Good Luck.

Don't need that, the log is written to the UI itself. Analyze it there or copy-paste it here for someone else to look at.

Why do you need to find that? A mod dependency? Which mod?

Fwiw, you won't see xpmsse.esp in the plugin listings, the correct plugin for the correct skeleton for Special Edition *is* xpmse.esp.

xpmsse is simply a convenient abbreviation of the mod name "XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Edition", but the mod's plugin omits one of the "s"es...ie XPM - SE version > xpmse.esp, where presumably, "xpm" is the underlying method, applied/tailored to SE in this case

Further, are you able to open FNIS? If so, make sure to check the first three checkboxes (Gender, Skeleton, HKX), then run it and read it's output. If any entries say "incompatible", it means no ifs and or butts it's incompatible, and it very likely means you installed a mod meant for LE, not SE. any entry that says incompatible is an entry from which the associated mod that delivered it should be scrutinized closelyand most likely, uninstalled and replaced with an appropriate version for Special Edition, or AE if that's the case. (idk/not sure how SE and AE differ on FNIS)
