Saving-Loading Times

The time the game took to quicksave was always instant.

Now I dont know what I did but the time it takes to quicksave, save, quickload or load are muuuuch longer.

Has anyone ever had this problem and how can I fix it?

It hasne reached extreme amounts yet. it at aroun 20 megs but the most I ever had was 18.

it seems it gets bigger as time passes

I'm pretty sure SKSE has a feature that allows you to clear invalid registrations from your game if you've got a lot of mods you no longer use on that save. Not sure how large of an impact it makes, but it can't hurt to try.

What mods do you have in your load order. There are a few that lead to save bloat. Also, there is a flag that makes npc's ALWAYS own their weapons rather than dropping them.. they still "drop" them but you will "loot" the npc when you click the weapon. This can help alleviate large save files

You can also check this tool. But read the forum posts.. I haven't used it in a long time. Make sure it still works well.

As SandsOfTime404 said, SKSE hasa feature called "Clear Invalid Registrations" which can help with alleviating save-game bloating (it's not instant, it does it gradually while you play if I remember correctly), but I'd suggest posting your load order to see if anyone can spot the mod causing it.

Go to the folder Skyrim\Data\SKSE\, open the file called SKSE.ini and paste the following into it:

[General] 
ClearInvalidRegistrations=1

If the General tag is already present just paste the config line under it.

Unlike what everone is saying... Clear Invalid Registrations wont work if you have save bloating. It means that one of your mods scripts is out of whack making your save file increase in size. You need to remove the mod in question and your save will go back to normal. Post your load order and I'll see if I can figure out which one it is.

Clear Invalid Registrations only works to reduce you save file size if you have no bloating, it keeps your save in the under 12mbs range. 12mbs should be your max size with 256 mods in your load order. Clear Invalid Registrations plus Enboost will keep your save file size stable for your entire play through keeping your save times as low as possible. 14mbs+ is when you start to notice an increase in saving times.

Did you ever remove or replace a mod since the time you started this character? I don't see any of the notorious offenders in that list. But There is a good number of mods that I don't recognize.

Jesus... what a mess. Your game works with that?

1) Properly remove SexlabDefeat using the MCM menus uninstall feature. Should fix your bloating. You can put it back in once your game goes back to normal.

2) Remove SexlabSquirt since it doesn't even work with anything but sexlab 15b which you should have upgraded past.

3) Place Sexlabaroused under Sexlab.esm... not sure why you sorted it like that...

4) Go to downloads>skyrim>sexlab>recent and see which mods have been updated in the last month. If you have a mod that hasn't been updated since before September remove it. You have too many sexlab mods which aren't compatible with the latest Sexlab version.

5) Run BOSS then everything not sorted by it just remove.

6) If you not going to make a merged plugin (TES5Edit) for your millions of clothing mods then remove them till you only have 10 that you use. more esps equals longer loading times. Most people have the same amount of clothing mods as you in 1 esp.

7) 75% of your current load order is filled with mods that do functions that can be found in better mods that preform 4-5 functions that 4-5 esps you have do. So hop on the nexus and upgrade your mods. That being said... do you really need that many strap-on mods?

8) Like allarmorsplayable.esp wyre bash can do that with the bashed patch. Mod has been obsolete for close to a year now. That being said. get Wrye Bash.

9) Honestly if I was you, I'd just remove everything and do a fresh install, you really only have about 50 mods that I know you can't live without the rest are just fluff that's lowering your games performance. Besides most of your mods are conflicting, do to your jumbled load order and lack of Bashed Patch.

And is that Dovakiin hideout I see? No. Just NO. Never use that. Sharlikran can barely fix that. That's a mod on the never use list.

As a matter of fact it is BOSS that made this mess. Before I run it although there many and some very old mods installed. everything worked like a charm.

The hideout is there but it is not activated. I have deactivated a couple of months ago as I moved to the undergound bathhouse. I did work but it was a bit buggy and caused some CTDs with the crafting stations.

Even with all those mods the loading times are quite fast. On a normal save "Quicksave" is instant.

I did a clan reinstall of SexLab Defeat 4.1 and the problem is solved. It seems I somehow managed to mess it up.
