test456test456 Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Hi All  on my game I have defeat set to only on to bleed out when health hits zero, it was working earlier in my game but at some point it has stopped working and now when my character hp hits zero they just die, has any one else had this glitch and did they find a fix?  Thanks
traison Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 (edited) As far as I know this has never worked, reason being game engine limitations or something along these lines. My understanding is that for it to work, you need to set the health threshold high enough that you can withstand one more hit. For instance, lets say a sabrecat does 50 damage, and you have 150 max health. Set the threshold to 75, this way whenever you're below 75 you can take one more hit from a sabrecat, which will put you in a bleed out state (beacuse you took damage below the threshold). You can imagine balancing this gets a little tricky, because at 75, a mere skeever can now bite your ankle and down you at 50% health. Â Edit: Another problem is lingering health damage. Unless it has been fixed in later versions of Defeat, you will die regardless if a poison lasts long enough to drain all your health. Example: A chaurus takes you from 60 to 50 hp. You took damage below the 75 hp threshold, so Defeat downs your character. Chauruses have a venomous bite however, and that does an additional 75 damage over time. In a few seconds your character dies from poison with -25 hp. Â Edit again: Damage boosting mods, and the game difficulty level obviously mess with this as well. Edited November 14, 2023 by traison 1
