I think Bethesda is going to wait and milk everything they can from future dlc before giving modders a chance. They have to be damnded tired of the modding community doing a better job at creating DLC alternatives then they do at creating the official dlc content.

[/quote'] To really compete with nexus you need to own the server, i should say servers. Since I am fairly sure that there are 5 now. Also for the amount of files that nexus hosts and the traffic it generates your going to spend a lot more then 9.99 a month. Lets not even talk about the security nightmares and administration of a monster like that. As much as I bitch about nexus I have to admire Robin for having kept it going. They should be paying us to play their game...lol. Especially since the public, as a whole, fixes everything they can't seem to. Imagine what everyone could do if they would release the source code to the oblivion engine and the tools to work with it?!? We could finally have a rock-solid stable game with development into the foreseeable future. Wow.

Case in point, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, I've been wanting to get my hands on the source to fix that stupid bug with spy missions for years!

[/quote'] If they would release the source code for "Evochron Mercenary" and "Freelancer" someone could finally take those games into being all that they could be. ...Flesh out the planetside gaming aspect to be like oblivion or fallout3! ...flesh out the space flight side to have spacewalking and navigating the exterior of ships! ...flesh out the inter-ship trade to be more realistic where you can actually get out of your ship and walk around in the space station or attached ship. Okay...I'm bumming myself out again thinking about all that those games are missing out on. That is all.
