Help needed: setting headOffsetSpecific via mod patch on Human pawns?

Hi,

I've been making an edit of S16's bondage gear to be compatible with SAR-BodiesMod, and I've run into an issue I can't get around - when equipping several apparel pieces, at a certain point, the head of the pawn will be rendered below some apparel graphics. This is an issue the original mod had as well, and the readme suggests simply wearing less than 4 pieces, so I'm not entirely sure if it can be fixed easily. I'm relatively new to modding Rimworld and a lot of the concepts I am still trying to get a grasp of.

However, when using Devmode in game and tweaking the human pawn
headOffsetSpecific.South.layerOffset value after equipping all the items, the rendering order seems visually fixed in game (and it doesn't seem to affect the graphics from non-frontal views), but I can't figure out how to apply the offset to human pawns via a mod patch. Is this possible or am I running into some vanilla limitation that can't be easily fixed?
