jdhue Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 As in title, I can't change BHUNP moprhs because they doesn't even show up. I like to alter the body of the female NPC's, but without sliders it's out of picture And this happening even with only racemenu in MO2 (and body mod liek BHUNP). I play on 1.5.97, with Racemenu 0.4.16. An yhelp?
anjenthedog Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 (edited) AFAIK, the "portal" feature, (ex: The Manipulator provides hotkey functionality to "Racemenu-edit" an NPC), that you're using to interface with NPC Racemenu settings, calls for the adjustment-rules of the target NPC, not the player. (unless you actually call Racemenu on the player, either via console showracemenu or an in-game user portal like A Change of Face, then his or her settings apply). For instance, if I edit a vanilla UNP NPC, then the CBBE, 3BBB, and BHUNP headers in Racemenu are empty, because the target doesn't have any such tri file defined linkage to offer any sliders, or said tri file lacks the entries necessary to populate the intended fields. If I then edit a more contemporary NPC (ex: Immersive Wenches, or some other known 3BA NPC, or one of my BHUNP-ified follower mod NPCs), they come up with a full compliment of choices, afaik, according to their .tri file (or maybe nif) specs Edited October 28, 2023 by anjenthedog details 1

It work now, but only if my character is female. But I rather to play as male ...
traison Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 My first question is, does this actually work, or are you just assuming it should work? As far as I know, the RaceMenu options for NPCs are severely limited. Wouldn't be surprised if morphs was one thing that wasn't available.

Mainly "named" or installed follower NPCs. BUT... Not all NPCs react the same. Some don't have any entries for the various body morph slider groups (CBBE, 3BA, 3BBB, BHUNP, etc, installation-dependent) and are presumably vanilla body (UNP) spawns. And for those that do have them, although having them, some have Racemenu sliders that differ than others, and or they don't respond to all available sliders in a given group.

Again, not all NPC females are editable for body morphs, depending on their source body parts and your installed Racemenu Support for body types. I have CBBE-3BBB and BHUNP installed, as well as CBBE. So all three are available to me for ****some**** NPCs. And yet not for others. IFF you know that the target is an editable NPC within your installed support mods AND you've installed all the optional goodies for that body type, including any optional Racemenu body-type support drivers AND you've built said NPC's body using Bodyslide using the correct Bodyslide Body AND you fitted the body using a 100% compatible Bodyslide Preset when building said body AND you made sure to checked the Build Morphs checkbox to provide Racemenu linkage before clicking Build AND your output directives for Bodyslide are in order to deposit the files where they need to go once built by Bodyslide THEN you should be able to tweak them using Racemenu. But I said that I can edit npc bhunp morphs but only if my character is female. on other hand, as female i can edit himbo morphs on male npc.
anjenthedog Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 (edited) Hmm... Are you (as male player) using Himbo or another body replacer? *Maybe that screws with things, idk. You should be able to edit any NPC with the necessary body bits and associated tri files. Edited October 28, 2023 by anjenthedog 1
traison Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 Most likely something in the morph menu script then. Something preventing it from showing the category in OnCategoryRequest() and/or the sliders in OnSliderRequest(...). 3BA for instance doesn't have a check for the category, so presumably it would be always visible. As for the sliders however, its limited to females only (obviously) and it also does some mod version checks. Also, the papyrus log would be relevant here. Analyze it to make sure there's no script error preventing the menu from showing properly. 1

Sorry and good luck. turned out i was wrong. sliders simply doesnt appear. sometimes. sometimes they will appear, and it doesn't matter if my character is either female or male, though on female it's appear almost ever. does anyone encountered this problem? like they randomly stop working but only for bhunp.
anjenthedog Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 (edited) Yes. With some routine. Again... In my experience, some bodies don't have associated BHUNP variables to edit, so they either won't show at all or visible sliders for the target adjustment section will be ineffectual. (Same, btw, goes for other body types. My BHUNP NPCs don't respond to CBBE... And the CBBE-3BA NPCs don't respond to BHUNP values. Some don't respond to anything but Body Scales. And some don't even respond to those. or only to a small number of the visible sliders) Edited October 30, 2023 by anjenthedog

There shouldn't be any conflict, as bug appear after I enable some amount of mods. I tried disabling MemoryManager in SSE Engine Fixes, as many who experianced this bug was claiming that it did help them. Not for me though. I heard that also changing bWeightOptions to 0 can help, but idk where to find this line ( idk if it applaying to BHUNP or racemenu).

If racemenu is load before XPMSE then things get wacky, and beceause I was using loot not even for moment I thought this maybe the reason.
