Ayleid Piercings - Devious Devices Patch

This is a small patch to add the Ayleid Piercings to Devious Devices.

 

Version Matching for the Original Mod: 1.6.3

Don't try and run an earlier version of the original mod.

If the latest version of the original mod doesn't match this number, there might be new items/invisible items in-game due to esp changes.

 

Requirements  -must have

 • Ayleid Piercings - CBBE 3BA - SoS - Hard requirement

 • Devious Devices SE - And all its requirements

 

Ideas

I need suggestions on what to do with the enchanted versions of the piercings.

 

Compatibility / Issues

 • It might have issues with Detailed NPCs - Ayleid Piercings for NPCs (SPID).

 • It has no other that I know of, send me a message if any appears.

Well, it’s rather easy to convert the bodyslide nifs to use the new slots. Just open them in the outfitter and change the slot number to the correct one. You can check out the files in this mod to see what files need editing for it to work.

Absolute legend, thank you. I tried to make a patch like this for personal use some time ago, but couldn't get things working correctly for whatever reason. Thank god someone smarter than myself did it, lol.

I am not a pro mod user on that level. But I guess I will give it a try, or wait for some kind soul to port it. But still thankyou very much for the recommendation.

It should work, since I remap all the piercings to the same slots DD uses.

I'm having issues with this mod making all of the ayleid piercings invisible. I've tried to rebuild them in bodyslide and all, but they remain completely invisible until I uninstall the mod and rebuild in body slide.

the armo biped template must match the biped slot of the item: if blank, it won't show

But I came on to another weirdness...

 

I add it from inventory, script triggers, "carry on, manipulate the lock"... as intended

the ring shows up and do it's kink perfectly....

devious hider works as intended, hiding the ring under thong, bra...

 

but.... now in the inventory, it disappear from inv and isn't shown as worn and can't remove it anymore.... keys are uneffective....

 

I think... because how devious devices scripts are built, it needs a _JewelryVarlaNippleinventory item in the esp to control the piercing properly from inventory.

Kind of same as devious device drive the restraint:

- item normal with keywords

- itemscriptinstance normal with keywords

- iteminventory with property attached to it

 

 

still need to try this::

create an xxxinventory item for each items and remove the property on main item, only left on inventory item

I guess I understand why there is no enchanted restraints.... it will be huge to do that for each version of item, almost abandon the esl because of the number of new records... loooool

 

 

Also, as stated in the description, if using the spid ayleid "DNPCsayleidPiercing.esp", it needs the deviousdevice patch as a master, or it'll break as the original esp register the wrong biped slot

I found out what I forgot,

 

I forgot to check the original for new items when I updated my patch, I will fix it as soon as possible

 

Edit: All items have been scripted now, and a warning has been posted about version mismatching in the main page.

Not sure if I had the same problem as you, or if it was related to meshes in the first place, but here is my story (of success):

 

My problem was that none of the piercings were showing. Not even the earrings. After hours of searching I tried to disable this patch and run only the base mod. To my delight the piercings finally were visible. Unfortunatel they weren't treated as devious items, which means: No problems of unequiping and the DD item hider doesn't recognize them either. But this showed there wasn't a textures/meshes problem but some problem with this patch, which somehow hides the items.

So checking this thread didn't help me much at first. But after studying chasidrill's post above I got a hunch. Something about item slots...🤔? So I opened the items in Outfit Studio (from bodyslide -> open in Outfit Studio) and compared there slot with the ones DD uses and there seemed to be a missmatch. After changing the item slot in Outfit Studio (see screenshots) I finally was able to see them.

Edit: Unfortunately that only seemed to work for nipple (slot 51) and crotch (slot 50) piercings. Earrings and belly piercings are still not showing... 😞

Well, @chasidrill I sat and did what you said - renamed, added records, etc. BTW adding biped slots where you should not actually breaks the DD Devices. Most are working except some that don't have the VMAD records for some reason. My xedit-fu doesn't work for ESL scripts so I left those as they were, anybody who has the CK or the knowledge can fix those.
But most stuff is working. 

 

I did not look into the SPID issues at all. Maybe if I get some more time I will.

Overwrite the original ESP with attached.

 

Sincere thanks to everyone who worked on this, so I had something to build on.
