The mod allows you to customize the loading screen and display multiple backgrounds like a slide show.

Compatible with game versions 1.112 - 1.115.

This mod conflicts with other mods that replace loading screens!

If you want access to all backgrounds, participate in future mod tests, or just like my work and want to support me, welcome to my Patreon.

What is the Dynamic Loading Screen mod?

Dynamic Loading Screen (DLS) is a mod that reconfigures the loading screen to your liking, and replaces the default "blue screen" with your backgrounds or backgrounds from ready-made packs.

The mod doesn't require any third party libraries or script files. Everything is embedded into a single .package file, backgrounds are provided separately.

All public ready-made backgrounds are optimized for screen resolutions up to 1920x1080. Some 4K backgrounds are currently available only for Patrons.

The mod was tested for a long time on Patreon. But, if for some reason you start getting UI_Exception errors from this mod, please report it in the mod support section or in a private messages.

Features in the current public version

- Multiple backgrounds. You can install from 1 to all available backgrounds from the mod, or create your own according to the guide.
- Randomization. The mod plays backgrounds in random order and randomizes their horizontal flip.
- Backgrounds switching. You can interact with backgrounds on a mouse click (Previous/Next/Pause).
- Backgrounds zoom animation. Backgrounds are animated by zooming in and out.
- Adjustable scale, positions, colors of loading screen elements. You can change these parameters in the
mod settings. Also you can adjust the background color if there are no backgrounds installed.

Is there any way to use this with my own images, or does it only work with the images you provide?

So far the mod only works with my images, but in the near future I plan to publish a guide on how to use your own images.

Hi, I like your loading screens and the dynamic  mod is fantastic. Is it possible to slow down the changing frequency? It is way too fast for my taste.

Posted (edited)

Any chance we could get just the images in a folder, as a separate download, to use as desktop backgrounds, without the sims stuff in them?

These are really well done, it took me a minute to realize they were done by A.I.

Yes, it is possible. I will later write a guide on how to do it in the file section...

Hey. All images are currently available to all patrons on my Patreon page.

Thanks for the guide. I set it on 100 and its way better now.  Is it possible to widen the range to for instance 500 or even more?

This is currently not possible, but the limit will be increased in the future

Here is a copy of my original question that was submitted to the wrong topic:
The variable to change the duration of an image isn't working (the frame count variable). The images are changing every half a second. It should change very 3 - 5 seconds.

You asked which variable I had changed. Here's the XML of "Font Configuration" after it was saved:

<NISANE_DynamicLoadingScreen_Settings>
    <FramesCount>5000</FramesCount>
    <SwitchImageOnClick>true</SwitchImageOnClick>
    <RandomizeImages>true</RandomizeImages>
    <RandomizeImagesFlip>true</RandomizeImagesFlip>
</NISANE_DynamicLoadingScreen_Settings>

My new variable is 5000. The old variable was the default one (which was 50 or something).

Posted

FramesCount should not be higher than 100 atm.

Another question to NISANE:

What AI generator do you use? The faces of the girls are really cute.

Hey. If you carefully read the mod configuration guide, you should have noticed a note that the maximum available limit for FrameCount is currently 100. If you have a higher value, the mod will automatically replace this value with the default one.

This limit will be increased in the next release coming soon.

I currently use Stable Diffusion with various public models…

Thanks. Yes, of course I'll post the .png image later on Patreon and the Discord channel.
I've tried to post them before but ran into some difficulties...

Thanks for making this. Been using it for a while now and it's been working great.

I have 3 thoughts, though:

1. Are the pictures supposed to be mirrored at random?

2. Any plans on updating the Loading Screen Tips? Tips for the Ranch is still showing up.

3. Every time I exit the game with this mod, the game generates a crash log.

None of these is a game breaking issue, or an issue at all, I'm just being curious. It is a minor inconvenience with the crashes since I have to go into the folder to clear it out every so often.

1. Yes, you can disable it in the XML file. Read more in the main post in the Mod Configuration Guide section (RandomizeImagesFlip).
2. Of course, I will deal with it in the near future.
3. It's weird. Can you send a crash log file?

Somehow I completely missed the horizontal flip feature... My bad ?

Got a freshly baked crash log. I'd love to know what could be the cause.

Hmm... It doesn't look like any kind of error from my mod.
No reports without my mod?

None. I did some testing before posting my comment and I had no errors without the mod. They only come with it installed.

But like I said, it's nothing game breaking. So if you can't see anything, it's probably nothing and the game is just being a cranky ol' hag. Wouldn't be the first time for me.

It's just really weird that it happens when exiting the game when the loading screens aren't even running.
I can only recommend using Deaderpool's MC Command Center (if you don't already have it). Maybe it will provide more information about the crash, since there is nothing to tell from the crash report...

I got both MCCC and Better Exceptions but neither of them is giving me anything to go off of. The only thing generating is the crash log.

But I'll ignore it for now. At least I can still play the game. I appreciate your time and effort, thanks mate.

Looking foward to seeing more stuff from you!
