Not all animations get loaded

Hey, I apologize if this has been asked before, but why some animations are not loaded during startup?

I'm currently using latest 1.100.xxx patch of the base game, along with WW 176h and Hoe it Up v0.3DE but I had this issue with previous versions of the game and WW as well.

On a side note, is there a way for me to find out which are those missing animations?

Thanks in advance.

That's perfectly normal, as WW checks whether or not it "makes sense" to load an animation. Some of the "missing ones" might not match the current format that WW expects or you might not be able to use them in-game anyway (e.g. due to missing CC props). As long as those two numbers in the notification are pretty much the same, this is nothing that you need to concern yourself with (a larger difference might mean that one or more of your animation packs need to be updated).

If you're curious, there's actually a whole section in the WW log that lists exactly what is going on during the animation loading phase. Just look for a file named "WickedWhimsInfoLog.log" in your "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4" folder, open it in a text editor of your choice and search for the line that says "[ANIMATIONS/INFO] Loading Sex Animations...". Below that you will find all warnings, errors and notifications regarding animations, each of them including the title of the animation as well as the name of the animation author.

Thank you!

Indeed there is a whole bunch of warnings and errors in there! I assume nothing I can fix myself, right?

For example, I see a whole lot of "[INVALID ACTOR] Invalid Sex Animation ... from unspecific preferenced gender type"

Stuff like "Invalid actor" is something you can probably fix if you actually know a thing or two about how WW animations work, which I don't. However, I've noticed quite a few of these show up again a bit further down in the log (at least for me), in the part that deals with overrides, and I'm pretty sure that they are also present in-game. Maybe others will be "fixed" in future WW versions this way, even for authors who no longer update their animations.

The only thing I've ever been able to fix myself were some "missing props" entires (not sure if these even show up in current WW logs, I think these are handled differently now), for which I couldn't find the intended prop. Took some file editing in Sims 4 Studio, probably only something for people who don't mind getting their hands dirty.
