Standard DD vs RC8 - invisible item(s) equipped

Hey there!

 

So here's the thing... At the moment, I'm running DDRC8 and have been asking whether I should revert back to standard DD as I'm running into certain issues with RC8.

 

I'm running a lot of mods that require/utilize DD in order to equip the devices on Player. However, it doesn't seem to work without issues. My biggest problem is with Sex Harassment, upon receiving a device, the mod would try to equip it and in my PipBoy it'd display as equipped, though I cannot see it on my Player. On top of that, I can take it off without any issues, I don't get that DD popup menu to unlock/escape/struggle.

 

At first I thought the issue might be related to my custom patch for biped slots (I changed the slots to better suit my installation and clothing mods), but I don't know whether that plugin is responsible as the issue affects both the unmodified and modified items.

 

I've switched to RC8 primarily because of its MCM - being able to customize the mod to suit my needs is a must. However, I'm asking myself whether it was worth it.

 

Any info is much appreciated! Also, I'm sending my patch for RC8 biped slots in case someone who understands the plugins more wants to check it out/correct it (I'd be very thankful!).

I still use the standard Devious Devices 2.0 and have the same symptoms from gags equipped by Sexual Harassment (though not other devices). I didn't fret about it since gags work fine if I equip them manually, so I figured the display issue was specific to Sexual Harassment.

 

While I don't see any problems with you changing from RC8 to DD, I doubt it will do anything for you. In my book, if all other things work fine, and if the issue is only with Sexual Harassment, it's probably more trouble than it's worth for you to switch.

 

In fact, that's the whole reason I never switched to RC8. I didn't see a reason as DD continues to work fine

 

P.S. I should probably mention that AAF Violate has no problem equipping gags and other devices fine. It really is a problem specific to Sexual Harassment.

 

As for configurations with DD 2.0, I use the Rogitt DD Item Manager (not sure of spelling because I can't see letters), and that works great for selecting which devices to allow and with what probability.
