taxman251 Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 I'm going to be switching from SE to AE because of getting a new computer. I was just looking for advice/recommendations. Thanks for any help.
cukengvtvn Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 There's not much to talk about except u have to redownload each and every mods. Some non SKSE based SE mods can also be used in AE but I wouldn't recommend that since there's always an AE version to each mod
Just Don't Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 You don't need to update everything. And there's certainly not an AE version to each mod. Only mods with a dll require additional care in terms of compatibility with your game. As an user this means inspecting the mod's files and description, if the mod contains a dll there must be information about which executable and/or SKSE versions are compatible with it. You keep in mind said versions and confirm it matches your specific game executable and SKSE versions. For everything else, as long as you're not using Skyrim 2011 files you'll be fine. If you have an issue in particular refer to its description or recent comments/bug reports for more info.
