Need help getting Wrye Bash to work with MO2 (gave up on Vortex but dealing some learning curve)

I finally decided to leave vortex and go to MO2.  I'm trying to run Wrye Bash though it, setting the tool to the exe in the Skyrim Special Edition/Mopy folder.  For some reason it "see" the files I previously had in my Vortex set up.  I've deleted Vortex altogether so not sure how that's happening.  I'd like to run a bashed patch... so any help would be appreciated.

Edit:  OK, I think that was completely wrong.  But the order of the mods in right plugin pane does not match the order in Wyre Bash.  I don't know that that matters as I really only bashed patch for leveled lists.  I'll dick around with this and see if I can make sense of it.

You should've purged or remove all mods files installed via Vortex before removing Vortex. It's very likely your game installation is now plagued with modded files that MO2 will have no control over.

Assuming you're starting from a clean game install and all your mods and programs are installed in MO2, using Wrye Bash, Nemesis, Bodyslide and any similar tool is a matter of adding the executable to MO2 and launching it through MO2. If you find additional errors, like programs not being able to access certain file paths, you should follow common practices like adding exclusions to your antivirus software or keeping your games and modding programs out of Program Files and similar system protected folders.

I didn't purge vortex but I did delete it.  Sounds like I goofed.  Wyre bash was working somewhat, but I couldn't see any text the plugin checker which I've always found to be better at catching delinquent masters dirty mods than Loot.  Is there a way to back up all the mods I've loaded into MO2, reinstall Vortex, then purge again, then reinstall MO2 without going through re-downloading 600 mods individually again?

Mods you install with MO2 are in a separate folder, the game and Vortex shouldn't have access to these mods. You can nuke your game install and reinstall the game, without needing to install Vortex again (unless there's another weird way Vortex adds files onto your game). If you reinstall the game, all your MO2 files should be intact.

I did that, and manually deleted Skyrim from the Steam, MyDocuments, and Vortex folders

Edit:  Please ignore.  I started the game and alternate start has been passed over.  I'm taking a break from skyrim for a good while.
