Vivi Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 So i am having this issue that my vamp decides to use some lame basic eye color every time i load my save... This might be some well known stuff i don't know, but couldn't find anything about it. My bet was on ece but even nuking it didnt help + my toon looked really lame. Yeah i know showracemenu and vamp doesn't get along well at the first place, but anyways, lets say i set the eyes to this: And next time i load my save/quicksave it reverts back to this color: Funny thing is, i have no idea where that eyecolor comes from, i disabled nearly all mods except the essential ones, and i swear i moved the entire texture folder+most bsa's to elsewhere and it was still working when i loaded the save file... I thought maybe the texture on the eyemesh, but even eyesfemalevampire.nif points to a glowing vamp eye and not to this brownish one. Any help or advice is appreciated
Thulas Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 I had a similar problem once (or from time to time still have), but after waiting a short time or first activate the eye-feature in DVA, leave the MCM and then deactivate it again the original eyecolor allways showed up again. But since you don't got it, I have no idea what causes this. Maybe you could try to download DVA and try if that works. It wouldn't be realy a fix, but better than having trouble with the showracemenu.
Veladarius Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 That eye color is the default eye color for the race since it is eye color 0. In the creation kit you can go into the vampire race of whatever race mod you are using and on the Face DAta tab either a) Change the default eye color to something else or uncheck 'Overlay Head Parts List' and make sure 'Override Head Parts List' is also unchecked. This should keep the characters face parts from changing. Also, if the tintmasks and such change and you would rather keep the non-vampire ones go the the Tinting tab of the normal race and hit the 'copy data' button and use the 'paste data' button on the vampire one and it will copy all the tinting data to the vampire. I usually do this with ECE and change the skeleton/body textures to the nord ones so I can use custom textures without having to figure out where everything needs placed and if they need renamed.

Yeah well forgot to mention was using DVA before this install but removed it when i rolled this toon because i didn't like it. But reinstalled it now to try it, its the exact same, the eye changes back to this basic color after reloading, but if i go to MCM->DVA and close it without even doing anything the eye color changes to a vampire eye. So yeah like wtf... but well at least this is a lot better/faster alternative to turn them back than showracemenu. About the creation kit, i keep that as a last resort for now i gonna change all eyecolors in DVA to that glowing one so it will be the same in every stage. Cheers for the help guys.
Shaydow Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Is it a custom race? If so, they may have changed the attributes of becoming a vampire ( CustomRaceVampire) or may have messed up on the creation ( improper \ not linking to RaceCompatibility ).
