HOW DO I GET RID OF THIS ?!!

I am using the devious devices mod (Love the mod its a great mod) , but i keep on getting this every 20 seconds or so when my character is wearing a GAG and its getting really annoying now , is there a way past this annoying words ?

I wish I knew how to get rid of it as well. It was amusing the first three or four times and incredibly annoying the next thousand times *laughs*

 

p.s. It wouldn't be so bad if it was just a reaction to trying to talk to someone. But it's triggered simply by being near people which makes it frustrating and intrusive.

theres also a setting for one of the mods to not put gags on the player. - though you still need to remove that one you are wearing if you dont want to be mute.

This is why I HATE Devious Devices for fallout 4.

This behaviour is caused by Devious Devices, specifically the gags (any and ALL gags equiped by devious devices!), and WILL break you game because of the area effect greetings.

 

Basically what will happen is, some NPC will wonder close enough to you to trigger a greeting, and thus lock you out of any and  all conversations until you talk to that person... regardless of if you are in a conversation with someone else!!!

 

The ONLY way to stop it, is to remove gags from your character as soon as possible!

 

There are a couple of Mods that will do this for you.

AAF Sexual Harassment has a configurable option to allow you to remove DD items with a button click.

Then there is the armorbench DD unlocker mod that will allow you to unlock devices at an armor bench.

Lastly there is Roggvir's mod that will allow you to stop gags from being applied to your character in the first place (works ok... does NOT work with Raider Pet however)

 

And...

 

That's it. Unless you know a modder that wants to rip apart the Devious devices mod to remove the greeting for the Gags that is.. but considering many people have complained about this exact issue and no patch has come out (that I knwo of).. Well, I wouldn't hold your breath.

yes devious devices.

Raiders Pet is one of the mods that can place it on you but by far not the only one.
