Is M.C.G. a good alternative to having mutiple mods?

Just wanted some people's opinions. I currently use SEU, Violate, Most RSE modules. I don't actually use SEU that much, but was wondering if the MCG violate was better/worse/similar than AAF Violate.

Stick with AAF version - Pretty every other mod developed to interact with violate is the AAF one

Think of it like this.

M.C.G. is the minimalist versions of the other mods combined into one. It has the basic functions of what the other mods have, but that's about it. Now that is not saying it is a bad thing, just if you only want the basics of those mods, then go ahead and give it a try.

But if you want more fleshed-out versions of those mods, then get the actual mods themselves. Violate, Sex Em Up, and Autonomy are the main ones. They are covered by M.C.G., but they are way more fleshed-out than what M.C.G. provides. You'll get more features using the base mods themselves instead of M.C.G. (and more compatibility with other mods).

I think M.C.G. also has an approach system as well, but can't remember right off the top of my head. Sexual Harassment is the alternative which again, is way more fleshed-out than what M.C.G. can offer. Along with Sex Attributes which goes with it (and interacts with all the other mods as well).

So in conclusion, if you want just the basic functions of sex in your game and aren't all bothered by all the extra features the other mods provide, then go for M.C.G. It encompasses a lot of other mods into one, on the basic level. But if you want all the extra features the others offer, then don't use M.C.G. It all comes down to personal preference.

Wanted to address this separately.

It's been a long time since I've used M.C.G., but from what I remember, it's violate system is pretty bare bones. Health drops below a certain threshold, you go down and get raped. Simple system and does the job. But I think that is it. It's not very fleshed-out from what I remember. I believe it also has an aggressor option for the player as well.

AAF Violate on the other hand, has a lot more options than what M.C.G. can provide. More options to choose aggressors, threesomes, turns taken, exhaustion, etc. It also uses the stats from Sex Attributes as well. It has aggressor options too, but with more options as well.

On top of that, it has more compatibility with other mods and offers more features if you have other mods installed. Like Devious Devices, Plugs of the Commonwealth, Real Handcuffs, etc. If you have stuff like that installed, you get even more options to customize Violate to work with those mods. It also has the Bad End chances and Abduction as well.

So, I won't say M.C.G. is worse than AAF Violate, it is just very basic compared to what AAF Violate can offer. But again, personal preference. If all that other stuff doesn't appeal to you, and you just want the basic violate system, then go for M.C.G. If you want all those other features, then stick with AAF Violate.

Thanks for the in-depth breakdown. I'll be honest, I really only need a basic functions of most of those mods, lol. Violate handles the defeat stuff(because CSA surrender never seems to work), but I use Tsex Hardship for being a prozzy, and other mods for other things. I am gonna give it a whirl and see if I like it or not. If not, I will just re-enable the other ones. I just want a good all-in-one mod for everything, lol.

You can use AAF Violate with M.C.G. Just disable all the surrender options in M.C.G, and just use Violate to control all that stuff. They have a guide on the M.C.G. page I believe that shows you how to do it. It's all done via the MCM for M.C.G., so you're not editing files or anything.

So, if you want all the basics of everything else, but want the features of Violate, just do it that way. use M.C.G. for all the other stuff, and AAF Violate for the defeat stuff. Just make sure to disable all the surrender stuff in M.C.G. so it doesn't conflict with Violate and you'll be good to go.

And yeah, I get wanting an all-in-one for these mods. They can take up a lot of your load order pretty quick, so having something that does it all is much more desirable. Sadly, when it comes to that, you get less features in an all-in-one package than if you used them all separately. It's a trade-off.

It's not a huge deal to me. I really don't use that many mods, mostly modern weapon and clothing/armor mods, so it's not like I am swamped in 500 mods for every little thing. I just really like a lot of the features that many of these awesome mods do, just a lot of them I don't need ALL the features, ya know. Like with FPE .. I .. I don't need all of that stuff, lol. Just lemme get knocked up and have a baby to dump in a trash can or in a stew pot, lol(I think that depending who knocked you up, they should come and take the baby by force if they are raiders/gunners/muties). I appreciate that the options are there for those that do want them, and that is awesome sauce, I just don't personally need them most of the time. Also, I still want Hardship dialog/pose changes integrated in all lewd mods, heh.

M.C.G. continues to be on my list of must-have mods for Fallout 4. I use MCG with all the other modern mods. They work great together, as Spyder said above, so long as you configure what features you want to enable. M.C.G. continues to have features not in other mods, and it also does a lot of approach style and dialogue systems superbly.

p.s. To me it's not an either-or consideration. It's use them all situation.

I'm not sure what m.c.g. does, other than get the women to hate nate and give him a negative rate.

Well, there is an entire guide for that mod. It gives a minor challenge when flirting, dating etc otherwise if you just want to see sex animation AAF alone is already capable of doing it with its wizard...
