Alternate Start help

[HyperonicX]

Ever since I updated to the last version (not the current version, though this applies to the current version too), I have been unable to start a new game. All it does after I select New Game is hang on the title menu screen, after the options disappear.

It doesn't load, it just hangs there doing nothing. I have to use Ctrl+Alt+Del to get out of the game.

 

Can someone please help me?

sounds more like you have another mod that's conflicting with Alt start as I have the newest version and don't get that problem at all.

Well for starters why do I not see the Update.esm in this list, second was this load order set up by BOSS? If it is it messed up you should put Alt start higher in your load order

Because it wasn't there when I looked at the list, or I just forgot about it. But it is there.

 

I'll give it a try.

 

And no, it wasn't. BOSS kinda messes things up at times, so I have to manually move mods to where they were, or around where they were.

 

EDIT: Just noticed that it said that I needed the latest update: 1.9.32.0.8, but I have only up to 1.9.32.0, so that may actually be the problem.

 

However, another problem arises. How do I update Skyrim on Steam?

Connect online with steam when launching and it should auto-update Skyrim

Update: I couldn't check, cause I'm getting a stupid infinite loading screen when I try to continue my game. I'm getting sick of this!

Well, I got it working. Corrupted game save.

 

And I can start a new game too, but I had to delete Alternate Start to do so. Which sucks, cause it was a great mod until the 2.3.2/2.3.3 update/s.

put alternate start lowest in your list or as low as possible this will make sure that the mod who it was conflicting with does not get the upperhand, i am using alternate start too with 0 problems.

 

you have so many mods after alternate start that it will make it really difficult for you to trouble shoot. for what ever mod it is that is conflicting.
