NCK30 Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 (edited) Hi Folks, I have had this follower for a long time thanks to my buddy Zeus94/Aslan. But when I made her she was exported with an abnormal long neck. Zeus94 used many skeletal sliders which I set to default values. No matter what I do I can't reduce the neck length and have resorted to give her long hairs to hide the issue. Anybody know a solution to this issue? Maybe something at Zeus94's end that did this? Skeleton issue maybe? Here is the sculpt menu with Lucyah. See the long neck. Should only be half the length. Weird that the preset beside does not seem to have the long neck. Also my actual Facegen from meshes (00005911.nif) which I have in a merged esp file. You should concentrate on the 00005911.nif. Thanks!! NCK30 Posted August 4, 2023 Author Posted August 4, 2023 (edited) Hot damn. You almost solved my long standing problem. Just tested. Very small neck gap (Pic 1) New issue. Head is below hairs. So hairs float a bit now. (Pic 2 and 3). tested with 5 different hairs. Did You manually edit the vertices? - Please tell me the secret behind your wizardry? Edited August 4, 2023 by NCK30
NCK30 Posted August 4, 2023 Author Posted August 4, 2023 Head seems small now on that body. You did not edit the head, right? Sorry. Just used to see that big ass neck on her. Maybe it's that which confuses me. Also shorter hair.
Guest Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 Compare it to the melons in both pictures, bro. It's probably because of the short hair, it makes a huge difference. Head looks still the same size.

Additionally, import default femalehead as a comparison option. Then mask the lower vertices of Head mesh so that they are not changed. Then use the F key to show the gizmo cursor and move all meshes (except the default femalehead) down a bit. Then expand the mask and move it back down with Gizmo cursor. Masks can be reduced and expanded with key A and key D. Finally, delete the default femalehead and export everything as NIF. Quote New issue. Head is below hairs The problem is that the head overall is a bit smaller than normal. So the author simply lengthened the neck to get around the hair issue. Could we mask some of the neck and scale the head bigger? - I know from Zeus94 preset that he had the head at scale 1.12. We need the face back in Lucyah to start with.

What about scaling the head like Racemenu do to 1.12, so proportions stay the same. And the nose goes up like Vanilla head. I know Outfit Studio can do it. Maybe mask the neck up to where it become wider. Alternatively make the entire head/face longer instead of just the forehead, so it looks more natural. Weird that Zeus94 would have a smaller head than Vanilla. Something must have been strange with his head.nif.

You could grab the last pic and ask at nexus for help. Maybe there is someone who has already done something like this. And thx for pointing me to this. The cosio preset is nice. Reveal hidden contents She even looks like Sofia with Leyenda skin. Let's see what Andy comes up with. If the issue cannot be solved this is not so bad with this hair. Long neck is not so visible. Of course it would be nice to use other hairs.

These head size slider in racemenu seems to modifiy directly the skeleton, thats why it does not export it. We need a tutorial how to change the head body ratio. I can't find anything about it.
Guest Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 (edited) Did you fall asleep? With this it could be possibly fixed. Need to make the esp with race and all first. Edit: It works. Tested it on the preset. Head is bigger, Neck shorter without changing any slider in racemenu. So all you have to do, is making a new race (skeleton) for her and change the head/neck size in her skeleton. Head --> size 1.1200 // Neck --> Z -0.5000 in skeleton looks good ingame. This video shows which values need to be changed. But how do You tie that skeleton to her race. In Creation Kit/TES5Edit I would guess.

I never have done follower work with own race before, but can probably do it. Which version we should go for, my, yours? I don't know. Im not sure if i have all the right mods in my version. The eyeshadow seems different.

Or give me the eye make up she uses in your version and then we go for my version with cosio + leyenda skin like in the pictures.

That reminds me most of Zeus94's version. She looks like Sofia with Leyenda. Let's save that for Sofia when You release her. You can just use Leyenda on your own install. I will first try if I can adjust the head with Outfit Studio. Because I can't import Andy's nif in Racemenu. She looks like a nightmare when I import. If I can't make it work then we try the race thing. Anyway I will provide my meshes and textures for Lucyah in our PM later.

Where does she look like Sofia? Whether you want to hear it or not, mine is closer to the original. Anyway, you decide. Edit: Esp is done. Need the files for further work. Export the head + Eden hair again with Racemenu. There are much Dint HDT hair entries in the original mesh from Aslan. And don't forget telling me the right skin colour. Play a round Skyrim now.
