Restarting FO:NV

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I used to have a great NV install, and then Vortex fucked it up. My re-install was plagued by script-hickups, so I scrapped it.

Now, 5 years later, I want to play the greatest FO ever again.

Are there any must-have mods? Specific ENBs or graphic overhauls?

I have both the Steam & the GOG version. Is either better than the other? I seem to recall that the GOG version utilised memory better and crashed less?

Is Bodyslide a thing in NV?

I intend to play with Project Nevada, for what it's worth.

Thanks in advance!

Don't use project Nevada, there is a better mod (which name I can't think of right now) that is less buggy.

Also instead of New Vegas Stutter Remover, use New Vegas Tick Fix.

I haven't noticed any bugs with Nevada, but I'm not married to it, so if anyone would know the alternative, shoot. :)

Never heard of New Vegas Tick Fix, thanks!

Any idea on the GoG vs Steam versions?

I only have experience with the Steam version

the GOG version seems to have a newer version, that works better in Windows 10. But I don't know what they did with it, to get it to work.
