31971207 Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 (edited) I am reinstalling Skyrim after away for a few years and every ENB is too bright. Interior looks like day time during the night for Pi-Cho, Cabbage or Rudy . I am using 0.494 ENB. lighting mod made no difference in brightness (light sources change so I know they are working) - vanilla or LUX or ELFX (ELFX enhancer darkens a bit but not by much) weather mod made no difference in brightness - vanilla or Azurite or NLAIII Brightness and gamma looks as they should be in vanilla without ENB so it has to be ENB. Before I stopped playing Skyrim every ENB I used made Skyrim darker than vanilla so I don't understand what I am doing wrong this time. Edited July 13, 2023 by 31971207

Then press SHIFT+Enter to enter ENB Settings. Here set your values for gamma and brightness. Don't forget to save the customization.

Windows 11 Auto-HDR makes Skyrim looks much better but also makes ENB super bright. If I switched back to SDR Windows then the ENB brightness is fine but I have to change my HDR monitor settings for Skyrim to look good. AFAIK no ENB is currently tuned for Auto-HDR but I have found some successes in tinkering with Cabbage ENB's ambientlight and pointlight intensity to make it work with Auto-HDR.
