Kraven12 Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 Starfield is a new hot take on the current space game genre. I am sure one or more could be fixed with a patch or something to add to immersion for most player.
Reigor Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 They are all different games with different types of gameplay. So the question really comes down to what the individual gamer wants. For myself, all three of these games, NMS, Elite, and Star Citizen were lacking. No Man's Sky had no story for me, two hours of dying over on over on some planet I had no clue why I was there, only to get up to the space station where I discover I can't talk to anyone because I hadn't found enough random obelisks. Nope. Done. Elite Dangerous I can't honestly say because I never played it only from reading the gameplay I didn't want to play a spaceship focused game. I wanted to play a RPG with a spaceship with a crew I could interact with. Star Citizen is multiplayer, that's enough to nix it for me. Being able to mod my games is important to me. So like I said, it depends on what the individual wants. I'm sure there are folks out there that would love playing all four for different reasons. 3
Miauzi Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 Never played? Well - the whole thing can go like this, for example:
RohZima Posted February 9, 2024 Posted February 9, 2024 Just add some additional cutscenes or extend the current ones to show different phases of the journey - passing asteroids or wreckages, going through atmosphere, etc. Make it optional. Make a new cockpit menu to choose travel to an object in the current system or set coordinates to another star, all within the cockpit.
