A few questions about a few mods (and help)

Hiya! It's been a few days I'm experiencing with various mods. As I never really modded skyrim before (I know, I started late, I even had Skyrim on release xD), I think I made good progress to understand most of stuffs. But I guess there are still things that I don't get.

As an information, I have the AE version.

1) My tail (using Yiffy Age) happens to detach after being killed/defeated

For some reason, my tail detaches when I get killed or defeated. When I was trying to configure Defeat and Death Alternative, when it failed and I died, upon reloading last save, my tail remained where I was. Reloading the save didn't fix the bug. The only way to fix it is to return to main menu and reload from there. When I finally got the two working more or less properly (at least I didn't had to reload after death at some point), I once got defeated and this bug happened again. (Note that it's totally random, sometimes it's fine...)

I was wondering if someone had an idea about how to definitively fix it.

 

2) Talking about Defeat and Death Alternative (+ Simple Slavery), does someone have an optimized config between them?

Even by looking on the net, the closest information I got was a post that talked about Defeat, Death Alternative and SD+ (if I remember correctly). Although I didn't try the latest yet (might sooner or later), I was wondering if you have an optimized way to configure those 3 mods together. (I'm also hesitating about using Death Alternative Resurrection, it's not mentioned anywhere if compatibility remains)

3) I also have a little problem with Defeat when it comes to creatures: they don't respect tags!

I do have a list of (supposed to be) allowed animations when I shift-click the "Require all tags" option, but for some reason, I always get animations not in the list (and it's not because there are no animation for said creature because I checked)

 

4) During my tests, after being defeated, I went to the slave market, but nothing happened.

I lost my inventory and got the collar and such, but for some reason, the quest didn't start, almost nobody was moving, and I could freely wander around and leave the room. (I could unequip everything but I was still unable to do things like attacking). I was wondering if it's a known problem? I couldn't find anything about it either.

 

5) (edit) Just remembered it, Simple Slavery mentions being able to check if Player Submissive (Legacy) is installed?

In fact, it's the only mod I can't find... with my researches, the mod it leads me the most to is Submissive Lola. Was it the old name or something like that?

And my current problems:

 

-For some reason, after a scene, some (not all) npcs start to float in the air with legs kicking around quickly... That's truly weird to see. However, they still seem to move where they want...

-Lately, after being kidnapped, I ended up blacking out from exhaussement and returned where they got me... though I simply couldn't move nor get to my inventory. I had to go to Death Alternative utility tab to reset my character's states to move again. (Not sure if it was because of DD on the legs? I noticed later that I had them... but if I can't move nor anything because of them, how can I get rid of them?)

-After that, I also noticed that my compass disappeared, and I had no way to recover it... From my researches, this could be because of SL Survival or iHUB, but I don't have any of them installed.

-For some reason, when I receive non-consensual sex, I don't get into the received (usually first slot if I understood) spot most of the time. I tried to mess with every settings I could, especially in SexLab to force the victim's position in first slot, and in other mods, but I can't figure out why... I even unchecked everything about paying attention to the gender. (Yeah, when I receive an assault and I end up in a dom position...)

-After a few minor changes, I managed to get Defeat and Death Alternative to work together well together, as I got a whole session without much problem. I keep my settings there in case you have suggestions: https://imgur.com/a/QCE5VzP

Submissive Lola is the newest mod based on the idea of Player Submissive (basically the successor).

You don't need to install ALL possible mods SS++ connects to, to make the auction work.

In fact not all those mods SS++ connects to are fully functional, some are rather old by now.

Yeah, I tried to complet with some more stuffs in the mean time... managed to fix a few stuffs, but got other kinds of bugs... Since I only started to see a few days ago, I'm not really aware of what is outdated or not ^^" I tried to test as I install over time, but there are bugs I discovered over time and that I can't really track unless spending weeks on it xD Hope you can help

Also, I'm not trying to use every SS++ mods, just those that look interesting xP (There are that I totally skipped because I wasn't interested by them)

What kind of scene? SL? Do you have ragdoll end activated in SL or other mods? A DA defeat scene?

I remember seeing that a long time a ago. Had something to do with HDT conflicts (mainly ZAP and devices, Estrus+ scene could also trigger that. Very rare back then, didn't see anymore for years).

Maybe some HDT/SMP conflict? Or a patch for SMP you don't even need?

Only guessing here. More details needed and an SE specialist.

I'm sorry to say, but Death Alternative is some very glitched mod. The idea is great but it creates more pain than improving the game play.

You are better off with SL Defeat Bane Master patched + SS++ and without DA. Those together create more than enough outcomes after a defeat.

SD+ even has it's own defeat system if you want a local defeat outcome.

- iHUD can hide HUD elements, but you control when and how.

- SLS would hide your compass all the time until you build one (config in MCM). It also hides it if you're blindfolded by DD (config in MCM).

... but you don't even have those installed ^^

What I don't get, why didn't you research the mods you have installed instead?

Most likely something from DA got stuck?

DD's on legs don't hide any HUD elements ^^

DD devices can slow you down. In combination with other debuffs that slow you down you can get stuck if you have no mods installed that limit any speed/carry wight debuffs.

Apropos carry wight, if you are too overburdened you are slowed down too.

In you case I wonder if it's not DA again that is stuck until you reset it in it's MCM. SL Defeat has a similar reset button in case it's not only DA's fault.

If you got slowed down by DDs and other debuffs you could still do anything else but walk. If that isn't the case I guess it's stuck DA or stuck unpatched SL Defeat.

 

How to get free from DDs:

Open inventory > click on the device > you get various options like struggle/lockpick/use key > this can help to get out, depending on the difficulty settings in DD MCM or other mods you have installed that effect escape.

 

Mod to help with DD escape:

Various DD related mods offer ways to get keys (find them, ask for them, buy them...)

Mods can add a dialogue to Blacksmiths to help you out

Mods can add dialogues to NPC/Followers to help you out

Mods can add whole struggle mini games to help you out

Depends what you play (male/female). I think SL is mostly setup for a male aggressor. It gets confused with FF scenes for example.

Depends on the mod that calls for the scene.

Depends if the SL animation is flagged as aggressive or consensual.

 

The easiest workaround for me is SL Tools + SL hotkeys. With SL Tools I choose the animation and with SL hotkeys I switch actor position depending on the situation.

Uh, don't ask me. I banned DA years ago. Even if it works for a few hours and will break later again.

I also didn't use SL Defeat anymore for the same reasons.

Only now that BaneMaster patched SL Defeat I tried it again and it's soooooooooo much better. In fact it feels like a mod now and not like a training simulation how to debug ingame.

No idea, I do it all with SL Tools (means I have tags in SLdefeat deactivated).

Maybe it grabs any animation if it can't find anything with the tags you have set? Or it just doesn't work. You could ask in the SL Defeat support topic.

OH! There is another issue maybe. Not all SL animations have correct tags right out of the box. Means they don't get filtered out with the tags you have chosen.

There are mods like SLATE to modify tags on SL animations.

I can see in SL Aroused creatures that many SL creature animations miss an aggressive tag for example. Means you would never see them if you choose "require all tags" + "aggressive animations"

UNP bodies are included in Bodyslide already.

If this isn't installed correctly and it's requirements or something conflicting is installed I could imagine that you get oddly floating NPC.

Here too, the usual main error ... install everything and then go in search of why it doesn't work.


Because you don't have time ... to install each mod individually and to check if it really works correctly - if the MCM sets itself up correctly etc.

I go on thin ice here, because I don't use SMP/SE/AE

 

Remove: "DIMONIZED UNP female body" (unless you know why you installed it)

choose something from this list from the CBPC page:

  • You need a physics compatible body. This means that you need a body that have working Breast-Butt-Belly-Vagina nodes. I'll list some of them for you so you can choose. Some of these have no prebuilt bodies available and will require you to build a body using Bodyslide Studio:
    1. CBBE SE Physics body -> Requires Bodyslide build. Only has Breast-Butt nodes.
    2. CBBE SE Special body -> Requires Bodyslide build. Only has Breast-Butt-Vagina nodes.
    3. UNP or UNPB -> Has prebuilt bodies and prebuilt armors and clothes. Has Breast-Butt-Belly nodes.
    4. CBBE 3BBB or BHUNP -> Requires Bodyslide build. Has Breast, Belly, Butt, Thigh, Calf, Vagina nodes.

Had no idea it was SO different from LE and SE... but just in case you knew something really interesting in LE, I can check if there is a SE version (and why not learning modding and to port myself? I know it would take time, but I'm a developer for years, so I do know the basic stuffs :p)

After a scene when they just want to walk as normal. They don't stay like this forever, but still quite a long time. Not during a SL scene though, I didn't see any much problem during them (beside once when I was on a stair, but that wasn't done on purpose xD)

I play male, but yeah, I tend to be submissive xD (And I'm bi oriented gay, but I don't mind scenes with a dom female, and I don't care if they wear a strap-on in male position (when it happens, the option does work fine).

Mmh... I thought it was just a framework and a base to create new scenes (with a few useful options). Might need to look deeper on this mod.

And I will double check the tags then with your tool, thanks. (I have sooo many animations though, it will take ages to sort all of them xD But I guess I won't have the choice)

Basically, prevents enemies from moving during combat when you're locked during the fade of the black screen after loading. (I know it's dumb to save at this moment, but mistakes happen xD)

Yeah, as mentioned at the very beginning of the page ? (But I'm curious, SE mods seem to work on AE when not mentioning otherwise, so...)

Oh, I didn't get it. I added UNP waaaay before adding Bodyslide. I guess I can remove UNP then. (At some point, a mod mentioned requiring Bodyslide and not UNP)

Yeah, I already considered removing it too. Once again, I added it before LAL, and before testing LAL, I had no idea how good this mod was. (I initially just thought it was just to skip the default start, but it does include some interesting starts)

I do install them individually (well, at least a mod and all the requirements/highly suggested ones together happen). But as I said, there are bugs I discover only later and have trouble to figure out where they come from. However, I will indeed give a look at your link, didn't find it during my researches, thanky.

I very probably installed it because a mod required it. I can recheck my mods again though to figure out which one asked for it. And I will see about the others if they do the job.

 

 

Anyway, thanks a lot for the leads. I will eventually reply if I do fix problems with them.

Oh, no it's not only that.

I played around with hundreds of mod combinations on LE and learned to get a stable Skyrim before even adding mods to it.

For SE there are things I can't know before trying them myself like:

What are the basic fixes needed for SE to make it work properly with mods.

What mods got not only converted from LE to SE but also got changed/updated/fixed

What mods aren't properly converted and have bug on SE

Mods that only exist for SE in combination with mods converted from LE and possible conflicts

What are the things that work with LE but not on SE (thus have alternatives on SE)

Best choices for HDT/SMP and body type.

Common errors with SE Load Orders (that might have easy solutions if you know the symptoms)

 

But of course I can drop in some LE mod combos and you can check here if it was converted already (I'm pretty sure most of them are in that list already):

The pure installation process accounts for maybe 3-5% of the time ... the rest is the testing - for this you have to deal with such mods more intensively ... to be able to create a test scenario at all.


I'll take the following mod as an example:

 

 

One must penetrate into the cooking chamber with the stone coffin and check whether the lady - Serana - steps out Naked.

If this is not the case -> installation is faulty


My mod list is not really extensive ... but the installation and testing process takes 2-3 weeks ... because of the testing process.
