This cannot work reliable. Avoid esl's as good as possible. If really needed, rename the to esp. ESL's load where they want, no control.

Okay okay, I saw someone posting something about seasons for Skyrim SE that change every part of Skyrim depending of the season. THAT would be a reason to put some effort into a SE LO. Maybe a bit BHUNP too, but don't tell anyone. ?

I doubt i have a taste for save bloat tho ?

One of the good house mods is Karlov manor (found on a blog here) I even relocate new NPC inside a cell, if they are placed into the world. World edits is so difficult to trace on ctd. one or max 2 skins plus a male skin. remove all those added skins. Followers you find to download are, for my guess, more than 90% a mess. Own race if not needed, race overwrites, own skeleton, not pointing to default, different path settings in nif an esp, worn armor if not needed, no own formlists, overwrite the main ones etc. etc. I assume, if skin is set to default in the new race, the engine applies this and loads the worn skin again, even if it's the same. Made some tests, going to a limit with 20 followers. They load slower with worn armor (double skin, loads twice) In brief, everything what does not match or is double, forces an additional load. Outfits, always optimise with CAO and get rid of this ultra high texture resolutions, create mip maps, compress. This are my basic rules, check everything you download.
